  1. How did the rebuild work for Pittsburgh, Detroit, KC? Rebuilds in baseball take longer than 3 years. Drafted players usually take 5-6 years to reach the MLB Why would you want Falvine to make any trades if you want them fired this off-season? Aren’t they incompetent?
  2. Hindsight being 20/20…. Really bad look to not take infield before a red-assed beat down. What a shameful display.
  3. Just say “no” to rebuilds! but it is time to change the GM and Manager, at least Levine, and Rocco need to go. They clearly don’t have an answer for the frustratingly awful hitting.
  4. When I read the title I thought “Oh my God! Did Morny die?” Also, 2008 was 6 years into the Gardenhire era. Morneau didn’t make his debut until 2 years after Kelly retired. As to the thrust of the article, agreed, Morneau’s quiet demeanor is in stark contrast to the 4 All Star appearances, AL MVP, and HR Derby champ.
  5. If you had any hope of getting away with fictional murder the entire internet now knows it was fictionally you
  6. The trend I see is all of them were named TD Top Prospects. Maybe it’s the curse of Twins Daily?
  7. Watching Farmer, Castro, Gallo bat can’t be any worse.
  8. Peanuts and ice cream go together like peanut butter and jelly! im sorry for the stupid concept and taking it too far, but I can’t help myself
  9. Just call me Jimmy Carter cuz I love peanuts! Yum!
  10. Good guess! You might come up short if he comes back out for the shutout
  11. Agreed, why I’m so frustrated w/ hitting and the FO. A bit more hitting will go a long way!
  12. The Moneyball maxim prioritizing OBP as a key metric does still hold water. SLG drives runs, but avoiding outs can bunch up runs. balls in play forces fielding to be more effective, but as we saw in Miranda’s last stint in Minneapolis, quality of contact matters too. interestingly, OBP is up .03 in our small sample size.
  13. So it’s Rocco’s fault when they’re bad, but it’s they players when they are good?
  14. congrats to the FO for signing a mediocre player and achieving mediocrity!
  15. To the OP, I agree that Rocco is a good modern leader, and he’s pulling every lever he can to squeeze more out of a terrible lineup. he also rolled with Popkins instead of hiring a better/more experienced hitting coach. He’s running out of levers to pull on squeezing more out. While the issue is the roster, it still might be time at the end of the season to move on from Rocco
  16. We aren’t in the clubhouse. We don’t know what he says or how he approaches players in private.
