  1. All of your rejiggering is lineup but sadly the pitching is worse. Spending 20 mil in lineup and 20 mil in pitching makes them 2010 de ja vu. 2014 is lost. Lets think like this in 2015 where spending 40 mil in pitching and batting combined makes the Twins actually competitive for post season success.
  2. You're right that Plouffe should be a 5 or 6 hitter, and you're right that the 2 hitter should be able to bunt. I also agree that Gardy doesn't have a good enough roster to make this type of situation work to his advantage. And I don't argue that its time for Gardy to move on. Where I struggle is the assumption that just because it was a bunting situation, Gardy had to give Plouffe the bunt sign, and anything less is managerial incompetence. I didn't see the sign, but maybe Plouffe ignored/didn't see it. Or maybe Gardy didn't think Plouffe could put down the bunt, so what the heck, let's let our right handed hitter with some power try to pull a home run down the line. It is the AL after all.
  3. Gil4 - would your proposal of an additional Brooklynn team in the AL East move Toronto to AL central, the Twins to the AL south, and Colorado to the West? You could also swap Toronto to Central and Cleveland the East, but Cleveland and Toronto are so close, you'd want them in the same division if you could manage it. Teflon - I like it, but one concern. Talent dilution is already becoming an issue, adding two more teams (and all of the development teams that would be required to go with them) may decrease the quality of play, especially starting pitching. As far as scheduling goes, I really like the proposal. It's fun to think of an expansion team in Monterray Mexico. I think maybe Phoenix might be a good AL West expansion.
  4. His stats are trending in the right direction. Get him healthy and back in the bigs
  5. Took my Dad and Dad-in-law for Father's Day to game 2. Had a great time. Hope to see Plouffe keep it up. It would be nice if he gave the Twins a reason to move him to 2nd base when Sano gets called up.
