  1. Kirilloff... WooHoo! Let the kids play!!!
  2. Running up the pitch count 👍👍
  3. Correa is not the team’s biggest problem. His offensive production is below his career norms, but he is still providing outstanding defense. Sadly, Buxton is the biggest problem (on a long list of problems). DH is an offense only position and must produce. A DH batting .200 is not acceptable. And on top of that, batting 2, 3 or 4. Slot a .300 hitter into that position and how many of the 2-0 and 2-1 losses turn into wins?
  4. And they steal a lot, and they hit a ton of home runs, and they are a lot of fun to watch.
  5. This is spot on! And not at all encouraging that changes in the clubhouse will make any difference.
  6. Very good point! Now that "but they are in 1st place" can't be appended to team evaluations, there might be hope for change!
  7. If you want to remember what entertaining baseball looks like… go to a Saints game. You are more likely to see a dozen runs than a dozen strikeouts!
  8. I think we have found one of the many the problems! How many times have we seen the hottest hitter out of the lineup to preserve Baldelli’s fascination with leftie-rightie matchups?
  9. And if Lewis doesn't come around and toe the company line, he may find himself on the outbound side of a trade... to a much more successful team. Our loss will be his gain!
  10. Maybe I don't understand the concept of low leverage. Down 2-1 in the 7th is the definition of high leverage... Unless you've already deemed the game unwinnable!!!
  11. I'm not buying it. He is an excellent low leverage RP. But there is no such thing as a low leverage RP. That's like having a hitter who only hits home runs with no one on base. Who would ever.... Oh, never mind 🫤
  12. Excellent article Nick! Thank you for shining a big ole spotlight on the elephant in the room!
  13. And apparently he has a bright future as a hitting coach... Take what the pitcher gives you rather than striking out waiting for a mistake!
  14. Sadly, I don't see how the Twins will return from this road trip still leading the division. They have Atlanta/Baltimore while Cleveland has KC/Cubs.
  15. Wait, the person who caught the ball had 3 hands? That hardly seems fair 🤣
  16. A butterfly flaps it's wings 😜
  17. It was a mistake because of how the contract is structured. He isn't paid to produce. He gets paid for showing up even if he is no condition to play. And he has been in no condition to play most of his career. Now they have hitched he compensation to that. They can't bench him or put him on the IL until he is a functioning CF again without highly impacting his compensation. It is another example of the FO being too smart for their own good.
  18. Apparently Corey Kluber is the Emelio Pagãn of Boston!
  19. Wow, that clarifies the situation. They can't put him on a long IL stint or sit him on the bench without seriously affecting his compensation. I imagine there is a lot of pressure to keep him playing. This was a horrible way to structure a long term contract for a frequently injured star player.
