  1. It's all about the moolah. It has nothing to do with Baldelli.
  2. Would much rather have Murphy.
  3. I definitely could live with Swanson...he's a damn good SS and swings a pretty good stick too, but I'd be shocked if Atl lets him get away. There's a lot of time before ST, so it might be a while before stuff starts to happen.
  4. LaVelle put this out there yesterday on the Chin Music Podcast about CC. The Twins are reportedly offering different length deals at different AAVs. https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/twins/report-twins-offering-carlos-correa-multiple-contract-lengths-values?src=rss View full rumor

  6. At this point, I don't believe he has much value. Any trade that he might be a part of, has to have other players involved along with him.
  7. Imo...starter until proven otherwise. Except for Ryan, pretty much every starting pitcher we have on the roster has had injury concerns in one way or another. Maeda's velo was down in 2021 due to the elbow. If he's fully recovered from the TJ surgery, there's no reason he can't be as effective as he was in 2020 and before.
  8. I'd love to see the war in the Ukraine end. Please get the little dictator away from the nukes. I personally know people who are from the Ukraine and my heart goes out to them and their country. The Waiting is a great song!
  9. In my opinion, he did a great job while he was here. I believe he was very well liked by the players too. I was disappointed when he left, but he went to Mia to be Mattingly's bench coach. I figured he get some looks at being a manager at some point.
  10. It depends on what ends up happening. If he's the everyday regular ss, because we whiff on, or don't really try for the big names, I don't think it's a good move. If he's a backup and/or a utility guy, then it's a decent move. Let's see what the FO does in the next few months.
  11. Solid player, but I honestly think the money could be better spent elsewhere.
  12. I really hope he ends up on some other team. The big problem is...his pitches...cutter, fastball, whatever, don't go 60 ft 6 inches...they go 460 feet 6 inches! He's had three straight years of below average results.
  13. I think some of the teams mentioned in the article would be a decent fit for him. Pittsburgh in particular. Anywhere...as long as it isn't here.
  14. For the difference in money, which probably would only be a few mil, I'd would rather have Gio at 3rd. I'm not really getting what the FO is doing.
  15. Very disappointing. Can't believe they want to keep him. What the heck is the FO thinking?
  16. A little surprised by this move. Wouldn't have minded keeping Gio. He sure saved us some runs at 3rd last season. Does this mean Miranda is the regular 3rd baseman? If he is, he better work on his defense. Hopefully, this is leading up to something else.
  17. For me personally...there will never be anything better on a Twins hat, than the "TC" logo. I love that and always will. I probably have 6 hats with the "TC" logo. The new unis will be a little adjustment getting used to, but I'm mostly ok with them. The more I see the "M" hat, the more I don't like it. For me, that doesn't identify with Twins baseball at all. I never liked the old "M" logo either. Obviously, everyone has their own opinion and likes/dislikes. I suppose we have no choice but to get used to these.
  18. I can live with everything except the "M" hat with the little red star. Don't care for that at all.
  19. WTF is this? I want some of the drugs he seems to be on.
  20. If we're talking about trading Kep somewhere...and I do think we need to do that...I'd be ok with Renfroe coming here. Don't know if Mil is looking to trade him or not. Also depends on what we're giving up. There's also the matter of him being with four teams in seven years...why? Is he a clubhouse problem? If we're talking about Renfroe over Garlick...well that's not even an argument. See ya Kyle!
  21. Yes, the unis are nice. I'm sure I'm probably the only one that thinks this...but that last leaked pic looks to me, that it says "TWIMS". That's what I see. I'm absolutely 100% sure when I was a kid in the early 60's, we didn't learn to connect cursive letters at, or near the top of the letter like that. We connected them at the bottom of the letter. That's the way I still do it, when I write in cursive. No doubt cursive is a dying, or dead way to write.
  22. No problem with the T being separate...that's how it should be. I just can't get the way the W and the I are connected. It might be technically the correct way to do it, but it looks wrong to my old eyes. Oh well.
  23. I don't mind the uniforms at all, but I still don't care for the cursive "Twins". The way the W connects to the I, just doesn't look right...and for me, it doesn't even look like it says "Twins". It looks like it says "Tum" with an NS at the end. Am I the only person that sees that? I guess I have no choice but to get used to it.
