    I don't think there's ever been any doubt that he would opt out I'd love for him to stick around, but I'd be shocked if he did. Some team (Cubs?) will throw a boat-load of cash and a longer term deal at him.

    Some initial excitement, a lot of frustration after that, and ultimately...extremely disappointing. However...good lord willing, I'll be back next season for more. I'm starting to like the pain.

    Buxton is saying now, that he and the team knew he needed some kind of procedure/surgery on his knee back in April. If you remember, he initially hurt the knee on a slide into 2nd base.

    Yeah...with our luck, he'd sign here, and in his first game, he'd blow out his elbow again and tear an ACL too, just for good measure. All on his first pitch.

    If the game goes in the tank...which hopefully doesn't happen with Ryan pitching...even Svengoolie won't be much of an option tonight. That is unless you want to watch the lame horror flick "Gargoyles". We've actually got a few gargoyles in the line up, so it might be a toss up.

    Not a surprise. Falvey announced it yesterday. Can't say I'm thrilled. Of course Falvey and Levine aren't going anywhere either. I'd guess that some of the coaches won't be as lucky, along with possibly the training/medical staff too. Someone has to take the fall. OH BOY! Get ready for more Rocco-Ball next season....I can hardly wait.

    Buxton is going in and having arthroscopic knee surgery next Tues to "clean up" whatever is wrong. Hopefully, they don't find anything more serious than just a clean up procedure. If all goes well, he'll be fine in plenty of time for spring training next year.

    A good manager can really help a team go a long way in a pennant race or playoffs...and Cleve has a VERY good manager. Can we get one of those please?

    We aren't even competitive any more. It's just sickening. Decent starting pitching...at least decent enough to win some games, but completely lifeless at the plate. Very tough to watch. If the season was longer, KC would catch us.
