  1. Earlier this spring I heard the slumping Correa tell a reporter to check back in with him later in the summer when it starts to warm up. Insinuating that he would warm up with the weather. It's too bad it took so long, if this is him warming up. 2.5 months? $$$
  2. If he is hitting, dh him. Until Buxton hits better. Play the hot hand. His only way onto the lineup is if his bat hot. I think Gallo is a bigger problem.
  3. If playing an oft-injured Polanco is better than playing his replacement, then I think we are hurting ourselves. I like Jorge when he is healthy. But i don't remember the last time he was 100%. Watch him swing. And run. Him playing injured can't be better than another option. Like Buxton's situation. Don't put injured players on the field. They hurt the team.
  4. I've been a Max fan and supporter. But his arm is average and his bat is a no-show, his defense is good but seldom great or even exciting.
  5. It seems like we have given up way too many 2 strike hits. Home runs too. Guys prove they can't hit a 95+ fastball and our catchers call for off speed. BOOM. There it goes.
  6. I'm seeing more close low-scoring games with varying results and strike-out discrepancies. I will be dead before I believe that striking out is ok. That they are no worse than weak contact. Today's game was not an anomaly.
  7. We had 17 strike outs today. We won 9-4. Do strike outs matter?
  8. Noffense. Pfft. Boring to watch. And tough on our starting pitchers.
  9. And Polanco hurt again. It's time to find someone else to call the "heart and soul" of the team. You can't make the club in the tub.
  10. The T'ins have returned. Not enough wins to qualify for a W. Sub .500 play =T'ins. But we did outhit the Rays yesterday. And they struck out more than us. Could we outscore them and somehow still manage to lose?
  11. We outhit them yesterday. And they struck out more than we did. SMH. Go T'ins. No 'W'in in them. I'll return the w when they get back above .500 Time to watch my carrots grow. I do like our pitchers.
  12. It's time to add a lifejacket to the Twins' homerun celebration dugout gimmick. Maybe add a gaf hook also. Pull in the survivors. Keppler messed up on the bases as did Jeffers. In critical moments that required extra effort, they both became casual observers. Jeffers' last ditch tumble didn't cover it up.
  13. It hurt to watch him grab his knee immediately too. That was concerning. I hope his time off is minimal.
  14. We all watched Mauer try to overcome his concussion. And Justin. It was very frustrating then to see them give it their best, which was an underperformance by both, imo. It takes a toll on the guys around them too. Watching and waiting for Buxton to get back to good is feeling just like that. He feels like a losing cause. Not lost yet, but not winning either. Not moving closer to good either.
  15. He's not the only black hole in our lineup. Joey. Bux. Correa. When Vasques is the only black hole then I will worry.
  16. Never saw them play as a Twin. I won't miss them They will haunt me not I wish them the best.
  17. I'm impressed with our starting pitchers I'm impressed in a bad way that our bats are so bad. Damned impressed that we make so little contact. Pathetic.
  18. It didn't take long for Lewis long to join the parade of strike out majorettes. He grabbed the baton last night and led the team with 3. It's contagious.
  19. 15 strike outs but we won. Lewis hit a dinger. At least we can't get swept.
  20. 14 more strike outs today In another boring loss. Trust the process? Nah.
  21. Without a better veteran showing it's gonna be unfair to think that Lewis's arrival will be impactful. He can't be expected to pick up the veterans.
