    Good/ Bad or other wise but Jake Cave will probably be another Mike Hessman whose entire career will be mostly in the AAA minors. Maybe he can try to become the next all time Minor League home run hitter.

    For good batters the umpire does not matter they will kearn to work the system; for not so good batters the ump. can be a life saver.

    Or something close to that, Twins defense has been a major failing too often; strong bats have not been lacking.

    IF he beats the Yankees, he is deserving; if not, same old, same old.

    His fielding skill need to improve vastly and the Majors is not where you do that; Twins have had a number of rookies who come up do well then fall on their face's batting.

    Height reach makes up to a degree for the throw.

    Garlick is better in left field than Larnach, and can hit left hand pitchers much better than most of the team, we still do not have a a left fielder as good there as Buxton and Kepler are in center and right. Larnach does have better numbers in right field and can make a good back-up for Kepler.

    He bobbled one ball and had an error on another; he was one swing from a tie game. You do not use the Big Show to learn how to field well at short stop when you will not be playing there.

    Even though this series was an insult to Twins fans, it is too early in the year to let it linger in one's attitude.

    Roy Smalley, he had 20 home runs by All-Star break and just a handful the rest of the year. Twins missed a big chance, R. Cano has signed with the Padres.?

    Hmm, back in the day when sports figures were critisized for being boozing party-hardy dudes, they pitched 9-11-13 or more innings, with rarely more than two pitchers in a game, some times pitching two days in a row. While home runs 470-500 feet were not rare either, so were low digit one run games. I guess these gym ritual, healthy young dudes just have the bloom off of the rose early nowadays.?

    If only Arraez had Gordon's speed; Buxton's drop seems rather odd but then no one is doing much except Celestino.

    Luck has zip to do with it, lack of good coaches is probably a reality.
