    At no time were Sano's numbers at first as bad as Miranda's are now.

    Any one who is new, or WILL BE new, to pro-ball is a rookie; a prospect is a name on a business sheet of paper, a rookie is some who is/will be holding a bat for money. Kirilloff, Miranda, Celestino, Larnach are all still rookies.

    If you use defense as a parameter, then trade Miranda; I am not a big fan of Larnach but the way he was regularly hitting double before he was hurt, plus he can back-up Kepler in right, makes more sense than Miranda's Little League fielding skills. Sano's numbers af first are a goodly number better than Miranda.

    It has been a couple weeks since the Mendoza line was where the rookies were at, let's see how this goes after two more weeks. Wishful thinking about new rookies is just that, wishful thinking.

    IF, if the Twins want to trade some rookies that have good bat, at this point, then Kirilloff and Miranda are teh two that , maybe, could bring some value. Gordon is too much like Willie Mays Hays early in the movie too often so he has no big value, we need Celestino in center. Jeffers , regardless of two weeks of better at bats, isn't valuable.

    Gaetti's numbers were never bad, and Koskie has one bad number, -1, his first year and one bad year after that, dream on. I am not a big fan of Larnach's weak arm but he is a far, far better fielder than Miranda, trade Miranda. Some people blither here about letting Garlic g,o and his (the wonderful world of analytics) OPS is better than the other three rookies; his best position is Left Field and that is where some one is needed. Larnach has good numbers in right field where he can back-up Kepler.

    Miranda's fielding is abysmal, dump him.

    Miranda has totally negative numbers fielding, while Kirilloff is negative in left field and even in right, where they do not need any one ; they have had good bats for the past several weeks but lets see how that plays out after the All-Star game. Smalley went into the All-Star game with 20 home runs one year and finished the year with 24. Larnach has totally positive fielding numbers and Garlick has postitive numbers in left field where some one is need to be a regular. Miranda and Kirilloff are best trade bait if they try to get a better pitcher.

    Not hitting as many Bombas yet but he hit 21 doubles last year and already has 12 this year with 46 rbi. Your fabled rookies would be below the Mendoza line.

    Rookies from the minors are not owed a spot, no one is filling for any one , except on the occasion a veteran is on IL and the spot is temporarily filled. The rookies earn their spot, at this point Gordon and all the rest have earned their place on the field IF they play, NO rookie is taking any thing from any one. If they do not play , then it is because management thinks some one else should be there, even if we think that is not right.

    The word trust is a misnomer, expectations is what players try to perform up to, for coaches and fans.

    Which is worse, swinging at a first pitch, or standing and watching a first pitch burn down middle of the strike zone?

    He has major trouble with lefties, so not gonna happen.

    Kirilloff is batting .067 vs left handed pitchers; Larnachis batting .212 against right handed pitchers which he has faced all most 3 times as often as left handed. Miranda at this point seems to be the real deal with a bat but none of them have excelled in the field and both Kirilloff and Larnach do not have strong arms, while they are fighting for the left field position. Only Miranda is a threat to Sano, and unless you have a crystal ball , no one here has any idea how well he will do after he returns, or how well any of these rookies will be doing two months from now. A covey of posters here are trade happy and some of them may end up being traded because they end upbeing better than average.

    Arraez at third, you would be better off putting Sano at third than Arraez.
