  1. Is there a chart for Minor leaguers that shows like Baseball Ref. a AA or AAA players defense ability?
  2. Correa will do what he wants,, period; all the throwing of the bones prediction is a waste of time.
  3. Gordon is not a good center fielder, for those who trashed Rosario in left. he is too much like Rosaro minus a strong arm. Cave is a better Center fielder but his bat has gone cold - again - where as, Gordon is still hitting fairly well.
  4. That Cave has regressed is sad after a fairly decent early return, but at that, all players seem to watch a first pitch ,in the strike zone. zip by and then swing at garbage. There is some thing very wrong with what some one who coaches is telling them.
  5. What Crystal Ball did you look in that says Larnach, who was hitting .231 will return to the form he lost weeks before his injury (he was a double hitting monster at one point) and his arm is no better than most who played left field .
  6. No one here is God, no one knows what he will do, or what is in his mind (except maybe he likes Miranda) I think if he and the rest of the infield played as was common, till some dork decided math was better tool than watching with ones eyes, that starting a team is a starting team, 98.6 percent of the time. Not knowing who will be recieving your throw or throwing you the ball brings uncertainty, uncertainty brings less than optimum performance. (Twins had a Triple Play yesterday and only fate, Correa is a TALL Dude, stopped the throw to second from going into Center Field.
  7. Saints are 57-58 those players would be so much better, LOL.
  8. I see nothing wrong with his at-bat numbers; his defense in Left Field with the Twins was - not good - by his numbers but oddly his Left Field defense was all positive last year with Rtot/yr of 17. Leaving the Twins changed something, maybe the coaches.
  9. Compare Pujols defensive numbers at age 24 to Miranda's, BIG difference.
  10. Using what crystal ball? Signing Miranda now is gazing into a crystal ball, at best.
  11. As far as left field defense goes, they are similar, only Eddie's strong arm is missing. Gio should be on that list, any one else at 3rd is huge drop.
  12. Luis was swinging for the fence a good bit more early in the season, his batting average took a tumble, now he is making sure he hits the ball, his average is at least stable. Some other Twins should take note.
  13. Different team, different people, different system: some Minnesota should do is change some thing in their system.
  14. I have watched the Twins, a big fan but not addicted to any sport any more, on what ever channel had it on TV or listened on radio. I have cable and see it there now, does this mean I may have listen to game on radio only?
  15. Yet they shut out the Dodgers. a team the Twins looked like a AA team when playing.
  16. Sturgeon is showing life again; he was doing well , bumped up to the Saints, fell flat, sent back down, looked like a flat line, now he has shown life again.
  17. Only a mediocre team is happy with mediocrity.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

I am wrong in simply calling it an acronym, an acronym is a word and RBI is not a word, so I had grab my college rules of correct grammar and: - Most readers probably know that an acronym is an invented word made up of the initial letters or syllables of other words, like NASA or NATO. Fewer probably know that an initialism is a type of acronym that cannot be pronounced as a word, but must be read letter-by-letter, like FBI or UCLA. But even at that , in correct grammar, in an acronym the vowel is the plural form, so there is not s in a plural version, but as English is one of the few languages where the verb most often comes before the noun, for the verb to follow screws with most peoples minds

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

No you must be kidding, it is an acronym and there are singular and plural acronyms, you have shown the truth in my statement.
  20. Gordon is an inept outfielder far too often, Arraez is inept at first, Beckham has been the only left fielder to throw a runner out at home, but the umps cancelled it, Miranda is like Gordon , you hold your breath on fielding plays, if Celestino's was a good as his speed in the outfield, he would be 100 percent better, simple fact Twins field beyond 3rd and Short Stop, is a crap-shoot. Cave is not the problem, Beckham is not the problem, pitching is not the problem so many want to make it, simply performing basic baseball tasks, especially hitting is the problem.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

I don't not know if that been such a minor aspect with todays youths command of grammar already in the pits.
  22. Well , the Twins now will face the Royals who just shut-out the Dodgers, we shall see.
  23. THAT is the Twins problem, not the pitching, we could have the best two starting and relief pitchers in the league and would be no better unless they threw a shut-out every game, although the grade school baseball defense, especially today, is an embarassment.
