    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

Except for numero uno, the r in rbi stands for - runs - so your analogy sounds, well actually, like a whole lot youths nowadays who graduate from high school incapable of reading, writing or calcuating arithmetic above a 2nd grade level, if that.
  2. I can remember way back when we left the oughts, Buxton, Hicks and Sano were the Minor Leaguers coming whose future was to save the Twins from the doldrums; same blah, blah, blah I here about the current crop of rookies. ?
  3. The fact he does not have the same first baseman every game may be part of the problem; If one knows what the player he is throwing to will/can do if one screws up, it gives the thrower confidence the 1st baseman will over come any defect in the throw. Uncertainty, magnifies errors.
  4. Thank you , I fixed it; some where along the way my conputer lost spekk check.
  5. Whay not compare to Simmons? Simmons fielding was just as good if not better than Correa at this point but this shows the bat only stigma so many here employ. Runs not scored are just as important as runs scored; i.e. last Twins game.
  6. LOL - Here he comes to save the day,, means that mighty AK is one his way.? but then , Caesar Tovar played every position.
  7. Then every player who has not equaled or exceeded the year before is an absolute failure; any one who compares another's performance by one single year of many is narrow minded and will never be pleased.
  8. The bias against Correa here is astounding, add to the the magical future play of rookies is an astounding pie-in-the-sky -- maybe we should bring Rooker back. This is a team sport where players can become quasi-brothers; it is not place where a souteneur has people for sale, or use.
  9. Why would any team move some one whose entire career is short stop, to third; good way to ruin a player.
  10. My computer is not set-up for the acute accent symbol in Spanish, so I used the common Latin spelling. I had one once where I could change key board easily, including to Cyrillic, but that one gave up the ghost.
  11. The Twins have shown in the past, without a good defense, offense is nullified; the Twins needed/need the latter greatly.
  12. I said it in another thread, Correa was not given the money for his bat; or Polanco would be at Short Stop and they would have bought one of the best Second Basemen in the League.
  13. So he will only hit 3 home runs for the rest of the season - Shizzam!
  14. Gee, Rod Carew only had an OPS of .736 when he was 25, should have traded him.
  15. The MLB wizards did crap on the Twins but that does not mean the Twins may have still lost the game.

    Where's Wallner?

Wallner is batting .188 in the Minors where he should stay.
  17. As compared to what? Simmons, when he was the best of the best had up and down years; Correa is still in his twenties you expect him not to be a normal human being with ups and downs? Ozzie Smith the best Short Stop in my life time, did not hit his offensive peak till he was 30.
  18. Every one talks about developing, what percentage to top line pitchers were created in a farm system verses being as good as they are because they were born with that talent? That talent is what scouts used to see with juggling numbers.
  19. Twins have now had probably the two best Short Stop players in the past decade; posters have ragged on both from the get-go; If the Twins lose Correa it will leave a gapping hole in their defense especially as First Base is still a unfilled void.
  20. Caesar Tovar returns; I have to admit, Arraez and he both in the game remind of the days of Rod and Caesar.
  21. I am beginning to wonder if there is a FO created gremlin in the Twins pitching force. When Happ left for the Cardinals, sudden change, similar with some others that went else where to a degree.
