    Where are the stats. that prove this was not inevitable , whether they 130 or 100 pitches. If some thing breaks due to inherit weaknes , it will break regardless of time..

    Is it legal to temp. demote to lower leves some players from higher level clubs for the play-offs? The fans in those stands deserve just as much as the AAA and Major league teams.

    That must have been really , really important as the Twins record shows.

    With the exception of Buxton, who said not playing every day screwed him up, all - If play blah, blah, blah - is a simple rationalizing excuse/s for the Twins failure/s. Larnach and Jeffers loss was did NOT have a big effect, Jeffers was/is a run-at-will catcher . Jeffers played approx. one half the number of games Sanchez played, if you doubled Jeffers numbers rbi, hr, etc. they are similar to Sanchez, big difference is Sanchez is far better defensive player. Larnach - If you go to Baseball Ref. where he, Kirilloff , Garlic and Cave stats. are directly in a cluster -- per number of at bats in reality very little difference (Cave has so few at bats, a hitting streak or slump changes his numbers drastically) so who played, with the exception of Caves fielding ability, makes little difference. Celestino and Gordon, hmm, well Gordon fluctuated between the worst and best of the movie character Willie Mays Hays all season; Celestino reflects the Twins , a steady slow decline. In my opinion Baldelli is just a continuing of the not ready for prime time managers the Twins have had since Tom Kelly left, and until that is changed , it will be more and more disappointment . Maybe is the curse of the Gardy.

    Just heard a bit of a sports show on WCCO radio; in the part I heard they said injuries were piling up but that was zero excuse for getting swept by Cleveland, or their poor play of late. Sadly I could not stay for any more.

    OK , excpet earlier in the year, they shut down after five innings regardless of who was the pitcher

    Well Palacios was brought with good Minor League batting and lousy fielding; now it is lousy batting and fielding in the majors. Crap shoots for the Twins do not work well.

    Kepler has 13 errors in right field in 8 major league seasons. Wallner has 22 errors in right field in 3 minor league seasons.

    I would agree with you except back when they hit home runs, the same complaint was aired often so they quit hitting home runs....

    In seasons in which he pitched in more than one game, only one year was his ERA below SIX, why is he here?

    Some thing is totally out of whack, behind by six or seven runs they can hit and score runs, though not enough to win; down by one run when they bat, hitting is some thing the other guy does only the other guy does not.

    I do not have a crystal ball so I do not engage in , if only a, q or s , were playing it would be better, wishful thinking is all that would be. Ranking means squat, or there would be a lot more rookies who are wonder boys.

    What was the HR percentage before the Al Star Game vs after, it was after that the Twins loss rate increased.

    To me, they have been losing games that they should have won through incompetent play this year, not being out hit, though late season lack of home runs is a hemorrhoid.

    Hmmm, most likely Wallner would be another Palacios and the Twins cannot afford to be a AAA learning team at this point. Cave had a bad game but the best arm of any who play the field, Garlick got a hit when it counted,; to think some rookie is going to come up and be magic is a plug nickel.

    That would be a defense drop, from either Sanchez or Leon.

    Lack of said same has cost them a LOT of games; they really had nothing to replace it. A lot of runners on base left standing there with no where to go.

    Strong accurate arm is part of what separates an above average SS from run of the mill.

    This is the one reason that exposes there is some thing wrong, ever since TK left. with the way the team is managed. I could see all year long that other teams were defeating, including shut-outs of the best teams in the league and the Twins, often, would pee games away in the last three innings, while their offense shut down after the first five.

    Not opinion, his numbers show it; unlike Jeffers , he is not a run-at-will catcher.

    Sanchez is a very good catcher; they gave away the equivalent of penny stocks, Palacios proves that. The fact the hitting is pathetic 4 out of 5 games is the the only thing that is really the only true bad developement. Five runs beat the Twins and often Three will do it.

    His defense is the best it has ever been, but his bat has hit the Simmons like valley. Odd how players with good bats come to Minn. and slump, often.

    Sanchez and Leon are both better behind the plate than Jeffers; Jeffers bat is similar to Sanchez. Twins need catcher defense so they should let Jeffer out until next year and he can then show if he has gotten any better against any one/s else the Twin Org. want a look-see with.
