  1. I am going to say Cruz; his leadership in the club house is void not refilled. Were he here with Correa, Urshela, Sanchez, Sano their numbers would better as would Cruz's though his rbi production is still plenty this year.
  2. That is all a crap shoot at best, wishful thinking at worst. Some will do well and some will be coulda , woulda , shoulda.
  3. Jeffers is not better than Sanchez in any form.
  4. That all the Brouhaha was going to be doused with reality was not hard to forsee.
  5. Buxton's defense, when he is in the outfield makes a huge difference but has any one noticed he is heading for the Mendoza line? You can rant about pitching but the twins would have lost whether or not Duffey pitched, dumping on Duffey is silly as the only two runs the Twins got was not from any thing that resembled a professional offense.
  6. Gaetti was never negative at third; Koskie was a positive , except his first ten games; Plouffe was never a good infielder but not bad with a bat. We need top line fielders more that good bats, defense has been a large negative for the Twins too long.
  7. Mirandas fielding is still a negative Rodriguez is in a whole different universe from Miranda.
  8. I wonder how long Celestino stays up, his batting is not keeping him here, and his fielding is no better than Cave but he is still better than Gordon.
  9. That is what AA and AAA are for, not the Major League Season, but by your reasoning Jake Cave should be in the Bigs.
  10. Then he ain't so great.
  11. Palacios wasn't the only offensive star on the day; St. Paul mounted a crucial three-run third inning thanks to an RBI single from Spencer Steer and a two-run homer courtesy of Jake Cave . The 29-year-old may have gray hair on that luscious beard, but his swing looked as ageless as ever over the past week. Cave hit safely in all six games against the I-Cubs and recorded multi-hit performances in three of those six games. His whopping on-base streak may have ended earlier this month but Cave has recorded an impressive July, slashing .263/.388/.563 with six homers, 18 RBI, and 17 runs.

    Sano related moves.

IF - If he some how ends up on the same team as Cruz, I would bet on him improving.
  13. We play the Yankees in New York; how this turns out will have an big effect on the Twins org. and fans. A series split will be the nearest the Twins have come to a play-off victory in a long, long, long time.
  14. The Twins lost the game on four singles; two by Bundy - two by Pagan; there is some exclusionary thinking going on here. If Arreaz was a top notch 1st baseman the one single would have never happened, at the same time had Celestino not been playing right darn near on the warning track the second single would not have let the runner get to third.

    75 RBI or 75 RBIs?

Is there such a word as sheeps? It is not correct to say “sheeps.” The plural of “sheep” is “sheep.” We say “sheep,” whether it is one sheep, two sheep, or a million sheep! It is one of the many irregular plural nouns in English and does not follow the regular rules for plurals.
  16. They have San Diego and Toronto coming up, plus two more games against the Dodgers, if they let the Dodger stomp on them again, if I split a bet on the Twins, it would be against.

    Sano related moves.

    That is a scary thought.
  18. Mr. Bean seems to believe analytics are the end all.

    Sano related moves.

Sano is not going anywhere except the batters box.
  20. It could be worse, as I write this Boston is losing to Toronto 27-4.
