  1. Urbina, Severino and really other minor leaguers need break out seasons. The Twins traded some of their top prospects in 2022, more need to progress or find others.
  2. I admit, I am surprised. But what else? Are we all in? If we are there has to be more. Are there opt outs?
  3. Barring contract renewals, Baldelli is signed through 2023, Falvey and Levine through 2024.
  4. Eovaldi's worth a try even if for 1 year. What do the Twins want to accomplish, that is a realistic question
  5. Andrew McCutcheon if he has anything left could/should be an option. Better all around player and right handed and cheaper based on 2022 salary
  6. Another lefty hitter? Who comes off the 40 man roster? More must be coming.
  7. Who is the architech and what is the plan? The rumors or speculation are either fantasy and wishful thinking or idiotic.
  8. Short term affect if signed would have been fine. Long term disaster. It would also force the braintrust to keep spending or act like they wanted to play with big boys. Evaluate and develop your players and make Minnesota be a free agent destination. Something lacking already.
  9. Interesting that all who were in consideration for relief pitcher of the year who are eligible for the Rule V Draft were not added to the 40 man roster.
  10. Agree on the obvious. Twins should non tender a few to protect a few more to not lose a Laweryson, Helman or even Kiersey. Some non tenders can be easily replaced with medium or high range free agents. But, they need to sign right away and not wait for the scraps.
  11. Jeffers may be able to frame, but he is a below average catchers and hitter. Catcher has to be a priority and will have to over pay and maybe give up a lot for 2 decent catchers, instead of juggling each year. Unless some of the low level catchers come out of nowhere, the catching depth is bad at major league level and that us on management
  12. I would love to see an anonymous evaluation from other MLB managers and GM's opinion of the Twins. I wouldn't be pretty.
  13. Too bad these accolades haven't progressed to the Twins bullpen. Hildenberger was ok for awhile. Moran is a work in progress. The others failed quickly. Hopefully Sisk and Laweryson bring strength to what is a Twins bullpen
  14. Twins quietly release Drew Strotman. Thank goodness Joe Ryan has produced.......
  15. When will Laweryson get on the prospect list? The Twins top 30 list doesn't show him either.
  16. Maybe the trading chips weren't what the Rangers, the Reds or what other teams wanted. It also appears the next wave of pitching talent is not ready to open the 2022 season and it also appears the Twins are not opening up their wallet
  17. Good start with the 7 signed that we know of.. Interesting they have signed very few pitchers in the international signing periods.. The Rays signed 23 players in this signing period.
  18. Twins had quantity in 2021 and where did that get them.
  19. Why is budget always mentioned. Teams can spend as much as they want. Sure teams have lost money the past 2 years, so what do they do, have a lock out. Budget and small market are terms that are excuses. Unfortunately fans are gullible
  20. Is Austin Martin playing winter ball? If so, what position is he playing? If it multiple positions then they probably are not counting on him as a SS
  21. I thought we needed pitching, pitching and pitching
  22. The sad part is the Twins are part of the tanking discussion. The need a new stadium excuse to compete is just that, an excuse. The speculation is even underwhelming. Unless unforseen changes are made we are in a downhill spiral for awhile. Even in the weakest division the Twins look like a last place organization. Reading comments here and elsewhere there is not much positivity. Hard for the fans to get behind the FO "plans"
  23. Garlick and Smeltzer are possible removals and possibly Cotton. Waddell and Gibault were wasted roster holders for most of 2021, so I hope they look hard to his spot and not run into another Baddoo, Webb type loses in 2022.
  24. Colome and Robles are accurate. Everyone else get a C
