    Yup, log jam should be depth-with plans to use it. This injury stack is odd that it had to be specific infielders to put them in a jam, they lost the two guys that make depth somewhat irrelevant. Losing the prospect that backfills both of them doesn't help either. None of the injuries being obvious 60 day IL candidates is a season long blessing but a short term roster nightmare. At least the Braves can move on without Strider. They will have solid major leaguers filling in mainly and should be credited for that, keep the head above water and get healthy. It's a supreme test of the log jam-err depth though. More than they could possibly have had roster space to cover.

    Folks. I've seen enough. Julien plays everyday. Until he doesn't do that regularly. One at bat completely changed the complexion of the game.

    They are both players will high values not reflected on their baseball reference pages. If Vasquez hits anywhere near his career averages his salary is covered. A 2 WAR season is not out of the equation and would be a tremendous result.

    Paddack carried 97 into the 5th inning as well after seeming to tail off in the first start. Carrying 97 for 80 pitches is a game changer for him.

    I remember discussing this possible version of Castro last year and being very glad they didn't use the last option as it might come in handy this year. I'm not ready to send him down yet but the flexibility is going to be huge as guys get healthy. He might end up on the St Paul taxi squad and still be very valuable in spots.
