  1. Nice article. I think it explains the feelings of most of thr fans. The attendance figures of late show 24,000 fans per game since the purge. However those include season tickets and tickets purchased well before such purge. So again don't believe the Pohlad take that fans like what they are doing because so many people are showing up. It's just another lie. Sound familiar?
  2. Barring a rainout, it looks like another guaranteed loss Saturday. It doesn't surprise me. This is the type of baseball the organization thinks we enjoy. It's going to get worse and last a long long time. We are stuck with the Pohlads, Falvey, and Baldelli.
  3. This loss was disappointing but it didn't hurt. They are a team going nowhere and have been for a long time. It's only with a lower payroll. We just have a very dark period of baseball coming now that Falvey and Baldelli have virtually been crowned as the people to steer this franchise. What a joke.
  4. I always enjoy reading about all the prospects that never make it. Jenkins looks like a young version of Royce Lewis by always being hurt. It's the Twins way.
  5. Great article. IMO I think they wind up dumping more players especially Pablo Lopez. I mean why keep a 21 million a year player that only pitches once every 5 days? Why spend that kind of money if you have no plans to contender? I hope they keep him and Ryan but I think the writing g is on the wall. It's been over 30 years since our last world series championship team. What's another 30 years?
  6. Yes the non selling of the team is bad. The out and out bs that keeps coming from the Pohlads is just outrageous. This means Falvey and Baldelli are here to stay to "lead" this franchise. Good lord the dark ages are here.
  7. Nice game Twins. Winning 1 of 3 against the Yankees is par for the course. Ryan keeps showingthat he should be extended and not traded.
  8. Im afraid the past couple of games is more the type of baseball we are going to see than the previous 6 or so. Very embarrassing to just roll over and play dead agai st the Yankees. New York papers were laughing at Twins even before the series started. Maybe Ryan can get us a win Wednesday. Then we get to come home and face Skubal and Tigers on Thursday. Oh my!
  9. I believe the Twins are 7-25 in their last 32 games with Yankees. Can't help but think if we would have kept one or two of those bullpen arms we traded we may have won 3 or 4 of those games since the deadline. But it doesn't really matter I guess.
  10. Love Keaschall both for his playing ability and his enthusiasm. But it seems way too early to talk extension. The Twins have him under control for several more seasons so I say let's wait and see . Also a potential sale of the club will probably put such extension talks on hold anyway. Hoping they get rid of both Falvey and Baldelli before next season. Ober should not be extended perhaps yes for Ryan. Keep in mind that all the potential extensions mentioned here must be accepted by the player. No guarantees that is going to happen. I also think Lopez gets traded this off season especially if Pohlads still own the team. If they don't sell the team I fully expect team to dump salary this off season.
  11. No clutch hitting especially from Lewis. It's funny how Lewis has one or two good games and the tell genis a superstar. But you don't hear much when he is playing poorly. He is in another slump but you would never know it by the announcers. It was tough missing Wallner and Buxton. Buck has the unique ability to take a day to day injury and be gone for weeks. His career is loaded with that. Ober pitched great. Does anyone know about Ryan Fitzgerald? They call him up quite a while ago but never gets in the game. If he isn't good enough to play get rid of him. He is wasting a spot if the great Rocco refuses to.play him. Team is playing ok since the deadline. At least so far. But why is Gasper on this team? He just cannot hit major league pitching. He has no business on the team. Hone plate umpires was awful today. No he was brutal. But at least he seemed incompetent for both sides. Letsvwin Sunday and take the series. We have a tough schedule coming up. Go Twins.
  12. Im also glad Correa is gone. That was the biggest addition to the Twins trade deadline: Correa subtraction. His time here was a bust. The only thing bigger was his ego. Perhspsbif he had performed anywhere near expectations for him we would been better off. While you can understand the comment that you can't blame him for the other 25 players, you can and should blame Correa for not being anywhere near a 35 million a year player should be at. Good riddance Carlos.
  13. Great win. Fun game. Great enthusiasm from players. As long as Baldelli doesn't mess up and change players positions or mess with the lineup too much we could be ok. I don't trust Baldelli to do the right thing. He's messed up too many players and teams during his time here. The attendance was very good. It was boosted by a post game fireworks display and Royals fans. But still good. Keep Lewis at third, Lee at short and keaschall at second and Clemens at first Everyday!! Twins are 4-3 since trade day. Wallner is ok but still has a way to go. He hits Homer's many of them solo shots but still make fielding and base running errors. But Great start for the Twins. Finally look like they have some energy. Go Twins
  14. Just remember Falvey constructed this team. It turned out so good he had to tear down his own mess. Then we have a greatbfield manager in Rocco who led this decline on the field. To complete this rebuild both Falvey and Rocco need to go.
  15. The rebuild won't be comp k ete until we get new ownership and dump Falvey and Baldelli
  16. Buxton has been part of the problem here. He's always hurt. He's had a great year thus far. His best as a Twin. But it's taken 10 years. Yes literally 10 years to get to this point. And we all know based on his history it could be over at anytime. He's had a great year. Let's leave it at that. A great career? Hardly.
  17. Julien keeps showing why he's not a major league. Hopefully Buxton is back soon to maybe pit just a little life onto the team if that's possible
  18. Yes i read the letter as it came to someone I know that has season tickets. Pure typical Falvey bs. Then he gets on tv and has the gall to tell us this is best way to build championship team. He must be a politician incognito . The dirty smile up front knowing all along he is lying to us through his teeth. Don't forget Falver is the genius that put this team together in the first place. Maybe, just maybe if he would have done a better job maybe we wouldn't be in this mess today. Then again maybe we would have anyway the way through pohlads run this team. The whole thing sucks. In any case bith Falvey and Baldelli must go.
  19. Perhaps if Falvey was better at budgeting the payroll dollars given we would have been better off. Perhaps if Baldelli was an actual major league manager we would be better off. Perhaps if the players, especially Correa, performed better we wouldn't have been in this spot. But with the Pohlads Perhaps not. But it see
  20. The Pohlads have made a mess of the franchise. At last check however they were 19 out of 30 in payroll. That's before the purge. There's several teams below them. Falvey has done a bad job of budgeting the payroll dollars given him. He built this team that he tore down. Perhaps if they had drafted better, traded better, scouted better, managed the team better, and if players like Correa had performed near or above expectations they wouldn't have been in this spot. Both Falvey and Baldelli must go.
  21. I agree with your article Nick. Great reporting. Let's not forget that he built this team telling us how great the prospects are and how good the team is. Then he just lies and teams it all down. Too much tearing down. Im sure he had direction from others to dump payroll. However he and our "manager" never take any responsibility for the teams failures. This rebuild or whatever you want to call it won't be complete until both Falvey and Baldelli are gone. Im glad Correa is gone. What a waste of money he turned out to be. If Correa and a couple.of others had performed up to expectations perhaps this wouldn't have happened.
  22. I've been watching Twins since the 60s and this is hard to take. Dumping team controlled players that are good is excessive. Leaving Baldelli and Falvey in charge of the team is criminal.
  23. It has all the looks to me of just a major salary dump and a move done mainly in spite. Having read articles from around MLB it was noted that Falvey was told to dump as much salary as possible. This was from mlb insiders . I think Falvey took it excessively on purpose. There was no reason to gut guys with team control and making very little salary. Then to watch his lying smiling face trying to bs his way through thus is a joke. We all knew that most of the non returning players would be dealt. But IMO he took it too far. It was a tear down. What's left will have us competing only with rockies and white sox for bottom feeder champions. Remember Falvey put this team together and did such a great job of producing a winning product he had to tear it down. This is his fault and Baldelli too. The tear down isn't complete until they are gone
  24. I wish the tv.twins would quit showing Rocco in the dugout. Especially around eating time. This team is a farce. This manager is a farce. Martin got 3 hits yesterday. Why isn't he playing? Typical screwball Baldelli decisions. Even the announcers provus and his partner Hawkins are asking that. Just a small example of how removed he seems to be from the actual games. Then he has the guts to continue The Twins Lie that they are trying to win. It's quite obvious with he and Falvey are tied at the hip. That's why they both have to go. Ive been a Twins fan since the 60s. Im still watching them today even after the carnage. But it's extremely difficult knowing how they have.lied to us for years. Whats the point of watching anymore? Bad habit i guess.
