If the pricing rumors are correct I imagine many of us will not pay the exorbitant prices. I bought Twins.Tv this season. I enjoy the broadcasts. They are well done and the pricing is reasonable. However if it more than doubles for next season then I will be dropping it. Of course it doesn't help when we have such a lousy baseball team. With MLB moving games to Netflix, Peacock and other pay venues it looks like the idea that the Twins wanting to expand viewership is another bunch of bs. If mlb goes to more pay tv streaming and direct payments for customers to ESPN from customers then screw them both.

The article pushes hope and hype almost as much as the Twins. What has Falvey done to keep hus job so long? Not much? Baldelli same thing. Not much. But here they are just puppets of the Pohlad ownership group. Missed playoffs now 4 of past 5 years. Worst attendance at Target field ever. So Falvey tears down the roster that he built. A proven failure. The payroll dollars seem ok but how he distributed them was terrible. It seems likely more trades are coming in the off season. I would doubt very much that Lopez is back next year with his 21 million due him next year. I honestly hope they are competitive next year but I just don't see it.

Lee is doing just fine. Why all the unnecessary scrutiny and negativity when offensively he is one of the team leaders? Sure he needs to improve. I think he will. Anyone watch Royce Lewis flailing away at the plate throughout his career? And what king of cybernetic gobble de gook keeps Mickey Gasper on the Twins roster?
-
Yes i agree. Wallner looks and plays poorly. I actually feel sorry for him. He looks deflated and defeated. Lewis needs to go as well. And take Rocco with him. Why pinch run for Lee who had 3 hits. I don't care if he is slow. You don't remove a guy from the game with three hits unless he is injured. Also why is Gasper still on the Twins roster? He seems like a great guy but he is not a major league. Now that lemons us in a big slump it will be interesting to see what happens to him this off season.

Great article and responses. Ive never been a fan of Rocco mainly due to his lack of in game managing skills and his laid back attitude. He doesn't demand accountability nor does he accept it. Falvey and Baldelli with their big spread sheets and cybernetic overload is the biggest hurdle they must overcome. Both Baldelli and Falvey need to go.

Week in Review: Reality Sets In
Whitey333 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Hope and hype. That's what the Twins market. Is there any reason for realistic hope with the current list of can't miss prospects? People talk like prospects like Jenkins, Culpepper, Gonzales et al are guaranteed MLB stars. I hope so but we can surely make an impressive list of the current can't miss prospects that are missing. It's always the same. We got these great prospects coming up. Prospects are suspects until they prove themselves. We have too many of them that either don't make it or they level off at the mid to upper 20s- 47 replies

Oh my. It's only going to get worse. So why is Adam's and Ohl still here? Shouldn't be surprised with Falvey running the show. What a joke

Nice article. I think it explains the feelings of most of thr fans. The attendance figures of late show 24,000 fans per game since the purge. However those include season tickets and tickets purchased well before such purge. So again don't believe the Pohlad take that fans like what they are doing because so many people are showing up. It's just another lie. Sound familiar?

Barring a rainout, it looks like another guaranteed loss Saturday. It doesn't surprise me. This is the type of baseball the organization thinks we enjoy. It's going to get worse and last a long long time. We are stuck with the Pohlads, Falvey, and Baldelli.

This loss was disappointing but it didn't hurt. They are a team going nowhere and have been for a long time. It's only with a lower payroll. We just have a very dark period of baseball coming now that Falvey and Baldelli have virtually been crowned as the people to steer this franchise. What a joke.

I always enjoy reading about all the prospects that never make it. Jenkins looks like a young version of Royce Lewis by always being hurt. It's the Twins way.

Great article. IMO I think they wind up dumping more players especially Pablo Lopez. I mean why keep a 21 million a year player that only pitches once every 5 days? Why spend that kind of money if you have no plans to contender? I hope they keep him and Ryan but I think the writing g is on the wall. It's been over 30 years since our last world series championship team. What's another 30 years?

Twins 4, Yankees 1: Snarling and Hurling
Whitey333 replied to Matthew Trueblood's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Nice game Twins. Winning 1 of 3 against the Yankees is par for the course. Ryan keeps showingthat he should be extended and not traded.- 56 replies

Im afraid the past couple of games is more the type of baseball we are going to see than the previous 6 or so. Very embarrassing to just roll over and play dead agai st the Yankees. New York papers were laughing at Twins even before the series started. Maybe Ryan can get us a win Wednesday. Then we get to come home and face Skubal and Tigers on Thursday. Oh my!

I believe the Twins are 7-25 in their last 32 games with Yankees. Can't help but think if we would have kept one or two of those bullpen arms we traded we may have won 3 or 4 of those games since the deadline. But it doesn't really matter I guess.

Love Keaschall both for his playing ability and his enthusiasm. But it seems way too early to talk extension. The Twins have him under control for several more seasons so I say let's wait and see . Also a potential sale of the club will probably put such extension talks on hold anyway. Hoping they get rid of both Falvey and Baldelli before next season. Ober should not be extended perhaps yes for Ryan. Keep in mind that all the potential extensions mentioned here must be accepted by the player. No guarantees that is going to happen. I also think Lopez gets traded this off season especially if Pohlads still own the team. If they don't sell the team I fully expect team to dump salary this off season.

No clutch hitting especially from Lewis. It's funny how Lewis has one or two good games and the tell genis a superstar. But you don't hear much when he is playing poorly. He is in another slump but you would never know it by the announcers. It was tough missing Wallner and Buxton. Buck has the unique ability to take a day to day injury and be gone for weeks. His career is loaded with that. Ober pitched great. Does anyone know about Ryan Fitzgerald? They call him up quite a while ago but never gets in the game. If he isn't good enough to play get rid of him. He is wasting a spot if the great Rocco refuses to.play him. Team is playing ok since the deadline. At least so far. But why is Gasper on this team? He just cannot hit major league pitching. He has no business on the team. Hone plate umpires was awful today. No he was brutal. But at least he seemed incompetent for both sides. Letsvwin Sunday and take the series. We have a tough schedule coming up. Go Twins.

Im also glad Correa is gone. That was the biggest addition to the Twins trade deadline: Correa subtraction. His time here was a bust. The only thing bigger was his ego. Perhspsbif he had performed anywhere near expectations for him we would been better off. While you can understand the comment that you can't blame him for the other 25 players, you can and should blame Correa for not being anywhere near a 35 million a year player should be at. Good riddance Carlos.

Great win. Fun game. Great enthusiasm from players. As long as Baldelli doesn't mess up and change players positions or mess with the lineup too much we could be ok. I don't trust Baldelli to do the right thing. He's messed up too many players and teams during his time here. The attendance was very good. It was boosted by a post game fireworks display and Royals fans. But still good. Keep Lewis at third, Lee at short and keaschall at second and Clemens at first Everyday!! Twins are 4-3 since trade day. Wallner is ok but still has a way to go. He hits Homer's many of them solo shots but still make fielding and base running errors. But Great start for the Twins. Finally look like they have some energy. Go Twins

Minnesota Twins Back to Selling Hope
Whitey333 replied to Nate Palmer's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Just remember Falvey constructed this team. It turned out so good he had to tear down his own mess. Then we have a greatbfield manager in Rocco who led this decline on the field. To complete this rebuild both Falvey and Rocco need to go.- 36 replies
