    Wow. I hadn't noticed that. I couple weeks ago it was a 22 game lead. Hey... I live in LA. I pay attention, too, but hadn't realized how many games they dropped.

    Twins have 3 hits. Hard to win ballgames on three hits. Maybe if the bases were walked loaded 3 times and the hits were 3 grand slam home runs......

    The Dodgers are the worst team in baseball since two saturdays ago. All good points you make here. But the point I and a couple others are making to you, and disagreeing with, is Tampa is not the "dregs". A 10 game winning streak, and they are the second wild card.

    None of you that have fashioned yourselves as self made writers through blogging need to do anything but do what you do. Personally, I feel you are not respecting yourself and work enough when you want to disparage other writers, and make your story about another writer instead of just doing what you do. Just as it is tragic when the umpire becomes the news instead of the game and players, so it is with writers writing about other writers. If the musician needs to tell you what the song is about in an introduction to the song, or how to hear the song, the song needs work. It should all be in the song.

    Berrios is lucky to have only given up 2 runs today. He is really not dominant, and totally struggling. I commend him for hanging in there. He needs some moxie to get out of this inning unscathed.

    Rosario's average has dropped from .303 on August 21st, to .286. How about some runs for Berrios!

    Just to be clear...... are you referring to the Bonnes article rant here as truly defensive, or the Souhan response article as the rant that is truly defensive? Or both?

    Levi Michael is listed in the box for both Chattanooga and Rochester! How does this happen? If it is so..... isn't this a story? Edit....... ah..... the Chattanooga link goes to the August 20 box. 1-5 on the day for the farm. Ouch.

    Only 5 hits today. Couple that with 3 errors given to us, and 3 BB, and there you go. Hey..... we had a 15 run differential for the series. Sure wish that had made for more than on victory. Who wants the Wild Card. Big games coming up! Yankees crushing the Red Sox. Time to come of age!

    OK. Wow. Good stat use and research. I trust it is true. I just quickly looked at the game log summaries for each month, and the only month that looks good is April. I don't think they lie, either. You use Duffey. I don't. Obviously, Molitor agrees with you, and I cringe.

    I go with a bunch of 1 inning guys. What day is it? September 1. Pitchers should be in abundance now, and can be called up the next day. If you get 1 inning out of Duffey, don't push it. Seems simple to me.

    Hey. Gee should probably not be starting. But just as the 6 games in which Santana was bombed early, and the several that Berrios got shelled and early, it is going to happen. But relief for an inning or two...... that is where the game turns. Duffey has lost it. If you take away the first two months of the season, Duffey looks horrible. Yes, he cannot be counted on now, late, middle, or early. Even with Gee giving it up early, the 2 run relief Duffey once again provided was consequential. Upon further looking.... I was too kind. Make that just the first month only for Duffey. It seems Molitor is paralyzed by hope since, hope that he can do what he did for one month 4 months ago, instead of what he has been doing the the last 4 months.
