    Did the ump watch the video in the inning breaks? Those pitches to Arraez were called strikes. Good for learning, I guess.

    I think, in this AB, the only reason Arraez swung at the other high close ones and fouled them off, was becasue he felt he couldn't trust the umpire to make the right call. Unfortuneately, he finally gave the ump a chance, and the ump continued to fail. That AB was a walk with the and RBI, tie game, and the bases still loaded.

    If Arraez had the robots calling the pitches, it would a tie game and the bases still loaded. The only reason he fouled so many off, was because he couldn't trust the ump to call the high zone correctly! He finally gave him a chance to, and the ump failed massively. You say the incorrect calls all average out? It is not about average, it is about not calling them wrong. It changes every game that is played.

    Good thing Baldelli left Cano in for so long (for KC fans that is). At least the rest of the team isn't giving up on the game.

    55 pitches by Cano (38) and Megill (17) in the inning. I had to laugh when Dick said that Kepler made a diving catch. Fine catch, but it was more like a apologetic stumbling fall before you hit the wall catch, than a diving effort,

    Whatever happened to running right at the runner that we all learned in little league?

    It's that MOY form getting all lathered up. Making all the right decisions. Lineup, and bullpen usage. I will never understand throwing away games, or conceding runs. Compromized defense at third, short, first, catcher, left field, and center. Maybe one at a time might be a better plan.

    correction........ I guess the change of innings takes away any requirement at all, even if said pitcher continues and starts the next inning, he can only face one if wanted. Good thing Thielbar saved the gopher ball for this inning and not with the bases sacked!

    Only needs to face one if it ends the inning. I think if he starts the next inning, he has to go at least 2 more, though.

    This is exactly the time to let Ryan be the starter you hope him to be and finish the inning.

    Buxton - the best player in MLB............ for a month. Time for Buxton to produce. If he needs to IL, then do it, If he is hurt, and that is why May is pedestrian, best to get him truly healthy and producing.

    Smeltzer is left handed. There is that........ None of the rotation has gone a healthy starter's number of innings last year. If this team goes to the playoffs, that will be a huge problem. I am not concerned about low number of innings for starters because of that, It will not bode well for the bullpen, however.

    So true! I hope Paddack can provide something by the middle of next year, and he has a successful and speedy recovery. The Twins get to pay for Rogers and Pagan to pitch this year, and for Paddack's medicals.

    Well excuuuuuuuuussssssse, me! or excuse....... Thank you for the spelling correction, and attention. Yup. Correa definitely a better SS than Lewis, and you and me, and everybody else, most probably, glad to have him back. Not really the point, as many including me felt Lewis could have stayed independent of Correa coming back (aware of all the reasons and angles), but agreed.

    Fortunate for fan morale that Correa came back with a fine game after the demotion of Lewis........ Great to see Jeffers get a couple hits. He is starting to be a lot like Drew Butera regarding production. Pretty surprised to see Duran, as Baldelli was "managing his ass off", clocking up the pitches/innings for the season in the ultra low leverage blowout. 23 pitches..... and not available for tomorrow (edit: day off tomorrow) in a close one if needed........ Did he really need the work?

Which means he could have pitched yesterday, about 16 hours ago? instead? (and the quote was Nick Nelson, not me). Just an observation. Seems like a waste to me to "eat innings" today at all.
