    Exciting, Twins in my mind are back to having a top 5 farm system, while still having decent position players in the majors. Offseason should be tough as 40 man decisions, plus moving some players to make room with the big club will keep things interesting.

    I love Arraez, you just have to find a position for him to play. Maybe the solution is to trade Donaldson in the offseason (assuming you can resign Buxton) to break the logjam. Don't think the young players have enough value to bring back anything good at the major league level.

    It's bad when it is better to read the minor league report than listen or watch the major league club.

    Palacios has played well since rejoining the Twins orgainization. Whether or not it will be enough to make the 40 man is to be seen.

    The above being said, Perry getting here in 2023 or 2024 would be awesome.

    I also think Cavaco is too high, more on the prove it basis, same as Perry. Both should be in the 11 - 15 range, though both could move up quickly in 2022. I am getting to be a little more in ranking prospects factored by how close to the majors are they preforming well. Many of them will flame out in AAA or the majors, but doing well in AAA or AA really helps.

    Felt Winder should be higher. Of all the Twins up and coming pitchers, I feel he and Ryan will be here first. Ryan to possibly start next year and Winder shortly thereafter. Winder may have to rotate between the Twins and Saints to keep his innings down, ramping the pitchers up after two short years is proving to be an issue.

    Twins were much more talented than they played, We all need hope for next year and not a tank job. This may only be a mirage, but the hope is they finish strong and then retool for next year.

    Do you think Minaya has a chance of sticking here? Given the number of starter prospects at AA and AAA, do you see the Twins as adding another mid or lower range starter this winter? Would be great if Twins would add a #1 or #2 type, just don't see that happening.

    Twins are coming closer to playing like the expectations we had at the first of the year. Would be nice to see if they can keep this up.

    Hard to tell, I am also interested in his progression. He may be another back of the rotation play, who could be better than that. Houston and Chicago are 2 good hitting teams and Chicago has 2 looks. Reminder for all Greg Maddox did not have overwhelming stuff, just the ability to put the ball where he wanted almost all the time. Not saying Jax is in that league, but pitchers who can come close to that are very valuable.

    Let me help you. Off your latest update, only thielbar would be questionable. All 6 of the prospect locks I agree with, total is now 22 - 23. Likely gone would keep Minaya and hope to resign Pinella (total 24 - 25) Middling veteran prospects would keep only Refsnyder, Gant, and do not know on Cave and Edgar Garcia, but for now (total 26 - 27). Fringe prospects only Jax, maybe Garza Jr (to early to predict). total (28-29). All 6 top eligable prospects (total 34 - 35), Baddoo list, Palacios, Moran, (total 36 - 37). This could change some as the season goes on, but is my best guess at this time.

    I was surprised Rooker was this high, as I do not see a future for him here, too many of the same type of player either in the majors or above him in the order. Twins will hopefully be able to bundle some of these players off, because we have a major log jam on the 40 man.

    Looks like both of them have a chance. If both make it, at least for a while and maybe longer, we can hope a couple of more make it next year. If Ober and Jax can hold down the 4 - 5 slots in the rotation, it will be more money to spend on the pen.

    I feel that either Ober or Jax could work out in the rotation, and the Twins have a lot of possible pieces. I still think we need either Pineda or 2 more pieces this winter to save the young starters from being over pushed. Maybe Ryan is here this year and should be so we will have a better idea. Out of about 12 possibilies maybe 2 - 3 will work out. But it is too early to know and we probably will not know until 2023 - 2024 on how the young pitchers work out.

    I think Pinada will probably be resigned here (or I hope he will be). Colume seems to be fine as a closer on a losing club, do not see him doing it on a winning club. Agree Simmons needs to be benched except for late inning defense.

    I don't see why we are wasting time with Barnes, send him back to St. Paul and bring up another young pitcher, or maybe they will bring up Thorpe when he is stretched out. Agree on Simmons, but feel the Twins do not want to spoil the 2 top minor league teams by moving more players to Minnesota. Won't mind seeing Ryan up here, we have nothing to lose at this time, and he has not pitched in our system, so we are not costing a farm club an arm. Outside of that, move Burrows and bring up another arm, if he is just used for mop duty, we have other pitchers we need to see.

    I am looking forward to seeing the young starters and relievers up here. My fear is that with both St. Paul and Wichita being new farm clubs that will probably make the playoffs, the Twins will not make moves until their seasons are over, and therefore will not know anything for next year until spring training, in effect writing off 2022.

    Don't see Gordon here, we still have Martin to account for and he can play SS. May not be ready to start the year, but should be here at sometime. Best twins lineup has Polonco playing SS and Arreaz and Martin playing 2B or Martin playing SS. We still have Lewis and Palasos at SS, so don't see the need for Gordon long term here. Love both Arreaz and Martin for the skill of making a pitcher work. That is a major point when you can run up pitch count on a nightly basis an wear a pitching staff out. This is what the Yankees do, make short starts from the opposing pitchers and work the pen to the point of a manager sometimes has to give a game away to preserve his pitchers.

    Duran and Alcala may still become important pieces and you are asking to hang them on their first two years, where they were still learning the players. What do you think of the FO that let Santana become a rule 5 draft pick. You don't know. Next year will be difficult due to the number of prospects that need to be protected. We have some players (smeltzer, Thorpe for example who will not need 40 man spots, along with probably Gordon, Cave, maybe Garlick for more examples). We probably will get burned on one of them (just the law of odds). After next year we will probably have a much better idea if they have acquired and developed pitching talent or just punted. If after 2023 things don't change, they will have had their chance and time to move on.

    my feeling is that either Martin or Polonco will be the starting shortshop. May not be the best defense, but hopefully the Twins will average a lot of runs a game. I like the idea of a Martin, Arreaz, Polonco first three with the idea of running up pitch count and ruining opponents bullpen with starters hitting 100 pitches by the 5th inning.

    But, I believe Martin can play short and he probably will be here at some point next year.

    He is looking lost at the plate, and maybe a reset is needed. Hope this happens when the Twins make a trade or two, and add another outfielder to the mix. Would hate to have Larnach totally messed up by constant failure before being sent down.

    One other note, Rodgers departed last night with a sprained middle finger on his throwing hand. That will probably end all deals of this type.

    I doubt you are going to see either May or Lux in the deal. Dodgers FO does not trade major prospects unless they are sure they cannot develop into very good players/superstars. I am guessing they are offering 3 - 4 lower prospects for Berrios, good players but less certain items. I would love to get Lux or May, but doubt this would happen.
