  1. Not if his defense needs work and he’s a platoon candidate. We have a roster full of those guys. (If they’re healthy!)
  2. “YOU’RE NOT EVEN LISTENING TO ME ARE YOU”!?!-Logan’s Wife Logan, “What a weird way to start a conversation “.
  3. “Each of these players seems destined for a long-term role with the club…”. I’m not sure ANY of these players are destined to be here long term.
  4. He’s a relatively expensive blocker of prospects. I feel about this like I would have felt about Kikè. Meh.
  5. This is an upgrade over Gordon?
  6. Truly, we’ll never know what percentage of revenue is going to payroll, as the Twins (and every other MLB teams) are unwilling to transparently open their books. We’re just guessing.
  7. This whole thing can simply be spun as: “We’re betting on our guys. The guys who have gotten us this far plus some soon to arrive young guys.”
  8. A Taylor reunion and an another well past his prime starter I suspect. Ryu, odo or Syndrgaard?
  9. Royce Lewis is no Bobby Witt. Not even close.
  10. Sisyphus night. Everyone gets a Buxton rock to roll up the hill.
  11. Now all the offseason machinations finally make sense! It was hard to see it at times, but now that we have the complete picture, it all makes sense.
  12. Decent plan to add an infield coach who can play sometimes.
  13. Max had an outstanding 2019 and a respectable second half in 2023. That said, you are still correct. He is our most “reliable “ OF.
  14. It sounds like Seattle enquired about Kepler, but were rebuffed. Could we have gotten one of their younger/better starters for a package? We’ll probably never know.
  15. Literally no one is saying Disco is a Gray replacement. Point is, Gray is gone. The Twins were never going to go out and buy a Gray replacement. With that in mind, is the pitching staff better with Disco and Topa? Yes. Is it it better to replace and aging injury prone infielder with capable younger guys? Probably.
  16. I’d be interested in someone summarizing this, so I don’t have to listen to it.
  17. I think the more esoteric the analytics get, the increased focus on minutiae, the more areas that a player can be found wanting. It is getting easier and easier to talk yourself out of signing a player. Just another example of how analytics is ruining baseball.
  18. I don’t see Marlins accepting any of these offers. They will get much better offers from other teams.
  19. There either has to be a salary exchange or dump to afford a real #2 guy. I doubt any team would give up a real #2 with team control for Polanco, Farmer and Vasquez combined. Unless there’s some team out there that has tons of pitchers and feels they are a starting 2B and a couple depth players away from being contenders.
  20. I guess we can stop worrying about the Twins bringing in aging veterans 5 years removed from a good season- We can’t afford them.
