  1. I think good OR great is disingenuous. None of the “Big 3” 🤣 have a realistic chance at MVP. The bullpen is vastly overrated based on “expected” outcomes based on always questionable metrics. Average is what I suspect for this team. That may be enough to win the worst division in baseball.
  2. “…it's not uncommon for financial conservatism to take precedence over aggressive spending”. I’m not sure how that’s possible.
  3. Thanks Nick for writing a very rare pragmatic article.
  4. Maybe he can break Margot’s pinch hitting futility record?
  5. What young pitcher could come up and get shelled like a peanut because they are clearly not ready? Could be anyone.
  6. I don’t think Vasquez will be traded. Paddock would be fine. Martin and Julien are not replacements for Castro. Big step down.
  7. You’ve left off a bunch of Japanese teams.
  8. Looks like about 72-75 wins. Probably pretty accurate as to what it will look like though.
  9. No and no. Even the rose colored glasses of people on here can’t put lipstick on this salary crippled pig. It will take a very interesting trade(s) that will leave the Twins minus 2-4 top prospects to improve this team significantly.
  10. Makes as much sense as the others in this series.
  11. I think you have moved things around without significant improvement. Still looks like a 73-78 win team if people are healthy.
  12. Giving Lewis a long term deal is the definition of insanity. Most of this is just mixing and matching that doesn’t move the needle. Beiber is a pipe dream. No way they are committing that much money.
  13. No. Buxton has already missed the opportunity to equal Hunter’s career. More on par with Shane Mack’s MLB career. Unfortunately, he just hasn’t been available enough and he’s not as good of a hitter. At this point, it is very unlikely he will improve.
  14. Couldn’t they just not tender him and save all his salary?
  15. I don’t think anyone is reaching max war. Maybe half will hit med war. Looks like a reasonable win total is about 75.
  16. When this team continues to not reach “expected results”, eventually you have to question the relevancy of the metrics that predict those results.
  17. “Minnesota enters the offseason with no clear holes…” Except 1B, 2B, 3B, RF and arguably Catcher. It could be argued that having a known starter at SS and CF that are both most like half time players brings those positions into question too. I understand the rose colored glasses are required on this forum, but blinders???
