    In the early-mid sixties I was just old enough to become aware of baseball, so that era is heaped in nostalgia for me. Don Mincher was surrounded by some Twins greats, and played on a great team (1965), and as strumdatjag stated, he had some solid seasons. However ,to call him a Twins great is a stretch. That said, well researched and enjoyable read!

    They might be, but it's still early for that supposition. The trend of this front office has been for some late action. Give it at least until the start of spring training to wave the white flag.

    This is no longer about Carlos Correa, the baseball player. It's taken on a life of its own. Replicating his 2022 season as a Minnesota Twin would be cool, otherwise.... fuhgeddaboudit (I'd like a second shot at a full season with a healthy Buxton and Correa)

    I enjoyed watching Correa this year, both as a shortstop, and also as a leader on the field. However, speed is not one of his attributes. Was he notably faster earlier in his career with the Astros?

    Some of that subtraction, freeing up cash for a front line starter (Rodon)+ a healthy Buxton = success.

    Wish him well. Also hope his post baseball life, whenever that may be, is stable. It was disappointing to read of Yasiel Puig, and Sano came to mind, given past issues.

    Just an aside. Given how this season has gone for Houston, and the remarkable post season of Jeremy Pena, I wonder how Correa feels about all that. Any regrets? And how will it impact his negotiations as a free agent, if at all?

    "It is better to have Correa'd and lost, than to have never Correa'd at all. " It is sad, though, that we'll never know what might have been with a full season of Correa AND Buxton.

    In a bizarre all or nothing season, Berrios has actually been pitching well of late. I think he's always been slow to adapt. Remember his horrendous intro to the majors? This time, he's had to adjust to a new team for the first time, AND a new country, with the pressure of living up to his contract. In the long run, the Jays may yet be pleased with the outcome of this trade. I don't know if Berrios spends the off season in Puerto Rico, but Toronto winters, where I live, are probably quite similar to Minneapolis?
