    I agree. I hope that next year the Twins can contend. I certainly hope they can retain Berrios for the rest of this season, at least. Losing Buxton would also be crushing, Pretty sure Cruz will be gone by the trade deadline, which makes sense. Imagine he'll go to a playoff bound AL team, and good for him. He deserves it. It's worth noting that with the epic failures of so many of the FO's recent moves, the Cruz acquisition has been an unqualified success.

    Berrios is an awesome fielder. Gold glove calibre. Pineda's fielding gaffe last night was cringeworthy. Too bad. Off topic, BUT, another area of concern is speed. Cruz and Donaldson on the basepaths is not a good look.

    It's one thing to have stats for days spent on the IL. But what about the value of those players? Buxton out for a month is not the same as Cave. How many teams have the impact equivalent of Buxton/Kepler/Garver/Arraez out at once. Maeda too. It's devastating.

    Tampa has scored 302 runs, second in the AL, and 3rd in the majors.

    . He's a solid #2 in a contending rotation and a #3 in one of the best three rotations in baseball. He's worth a #50-#100 pick on his own, especially mid-season, when starting pitching should bring a premium. By trade value math, Berrios equals: Deivi Garcia from the Yankees, or Simeon Woods-Richardson + one or two top 30 org prospects from the Blue Jays. (One note - if Richardson keeps pitching like he has to start 2021, he may move way up the Top 100, out of reach for just Berrios. Sub any Top 50-75 pitcher.) Kepler is worth at least 30% more than Berrios due to the nice contract. Personally, I hope the Twins find a 10-game winning streak so we don't find out if I'm right or wrong. If a trade does happen, I'll take the good or bad takes that comes with these predictions (for healthy players). 32 MLB teams? Did I miss something? Has baseball returned to Montreal? If so, you've made me very happy! Go Expos (and Twins)

    Yup, both vaccine and home run over in a blink. Not so sure about the painless part (for the home run) but definitely less squirmy than the Robles inning. If they win tomorrow, it'll be 4-4 in a very tough week. Better than a kick in the head. The Twin who has disappointed me most this season is Donaldson. I live in Toronto, so I'm familiar with MVP Josh. That was a misguided signing. He's past his prime. Still. I never thought his defensive play would be a liability so often. Seems distracted at times. Possibly injured?

    Is this an illusion, or was it in fact the 2 previous seasons? Man, at this point even a 60 game season is way too long. I chuckle at this week's schedule. But I'm an optimist, and predict that they will win a game! (1-7) moral victory....

    The 3 players who signed multi year deals (Kepler, Polanco, Sano) are struggling, all three. Is this coincidence? I'll happily eat crow if this comment appears ridiculous 6 weeks from now.

    There are no words. It was stunning. But to be fair, COVID (and the ensuing injured list) has played a major role in the past few days.

    Why not leave Robles in to pitch the 9th? I was surprised that did not happen. You've got to manage the game you're playing. Switching gears... what a pleasure to watch Buxton this year (so far). His confidence and positivity. He even grinned after getting hit! If misery loves company, note the rough start of Liam Hendriks. A little irony there.

    Thanks for this article! So I've got a lot of songs to youtube. A couple that I'm familiar with... I agree with you on Glass Animals. Everything seems quite similar, though Gooey is a good song. Great lyrics, even if they don't make a whole lot of sense. (worked for the Beatles in their latter studio days) Starting from the amazing bassline on "The Chain" would work, I think, tho it might lose a bit of its bite without the buildup. Speaking of time considerations, man I wish extra innings could revert to the pre 2020 season format ie. just keep playing. A 60 game season was such a huge aberration, that having a guy on 2nd to start an inning was somehow more tolerable. Anyway, the article was fun. I'll be listening for walk up music:)

    "By all accounts it appears that Stroman has been a good clubhouse guy and someone you’d want to have on your team." Quoting from the article, I'm not so sure about that. As a Torontonian, I'm familiar with "The Stro Show", and the nickname says it all. Frankly, Marcus Stroman is a shameless self promoter. After awhile, the schtick wears thin. I wasn't sorry to see him leave the Jays, and I'm not even a fan of the team. Realize I haven't even touched on his value as a pitcher, and want to stress that this is MY opinion. Just wanted to throw it out there. I hope the Twins take a pass.
