  1. Ortega is a meh, move. Lots of walks. Enlow is gone. He won't clear waivers.
  2. Andrew Chafin Will Smith In that order of preference.
  3. I'm not a Christmas doer, but Merry Christmas Twins fans.
  4. That's why we can't do 60. I'm thinking more like 50/520. This way he'd only be 79 when he hangs her up. Besides, an 89 y/o wouldn't have any trade value at all would he?
  5. I've always wanted to have a player nicknamed cool breeze on the Twins. Now I have it.
  6. I have already purchased my Gallo 13 Twins jersey. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a Twins uni for the next 9 years of his career. Hot summer day games at Target will be much cooler from now on as we feel the magnificent breezes Joey makes as he swings through opposing pitches.
  7. With all of the hype I'm hearing on here about Gallo one would think we'd look to extend him. Something like 6/96 maybe? Or if we have to 6/108. But to get the AAV down a bit possibly 9/135.
  8. I don't want Bauer. But I've done rottin **** myself. Not hit women but done lots and lots that needed forgiveness. I'm glad I received it fromChrist. I hope Bauer finds peace too.
  9. Bingo. Ryan is the guy we should be building the staff around.
  10. But, but, but, we need to maintain payroll flexibility....
  11. How long does the present ownership get to continue with this mode of operation? Cuz that is their never ending theory.
  12. When Turner signed for 11/300 there was no choice but to up the offer, even if they would have been "bidding against themselves". Either be prepared to go higher than 10/285 or they should have never been playing in the deep end of the pool from the beginning. FWIW I'm not upset about not getting Correa, but the fact is they have played this off season very very poorly. Couldn't do much worse.
  13. 9/300 This would have shown they were serious bidders/players in the game. We also would not have been paying him for 13 years, which is the complaint of many. He would have been 36 in the final season. I get the AAV would have been higher, but you can't have everything. Whatever. No elite players are coming to MN.
  14. What good does the Luxury Tax do? The big markets obviously don't care if they pay it. The small market owners pocket millions that they don't spend on their teams and love the tax. Broken system.
  15. No to Eovoldi. Not worth the QO pick loss. The price is steep. Not to mention he's hardly ever remained healthy. I'd like to see them look closely at Zach Greinke. Easy pass for me on Pollock. Drury? Sure if they were to trade Arraez. Hope that doesn't happen.
  16. Adamses. Not going to happen. imo. Hand and Smith would be worth a try, probably as good as anyone else still available. Evoldi, no. I'd sign Greinke for a 1 and an option year.
  17. Standing alone, sure 11 mil, who cares? You are right it's not my money either. And as of now not much left to blow Pohlad's money on. But the signing doesn't stand alone. This money could have been spent on a much better player earlier in the signing period.. Bassitt comes to my mind for one. Abreu would have been nice too. If Gallo was the target from the get go........ Bad signing.
  18. And if the FO doesn't know this, or is OK with this, then we have even greater problems yet.
  19. In that type of scenerio. In the .160's. Sorry that doesn't cut it.
  20. I know one thing based on his career, if we're trailing 5-3 with two runners on in the ninth, Joey better not be ever at the plate.
  21. Courtesy of you last night. Thanks. .166 in high leverage situations. .156 in a close game. .179 in a tie game. This guy actually stinks. Rock bottom? When has he ever not been there?
  22. OK. So we went from being a 68 win team to a 69 one.
