  1. Going over to Waconia to watch Class B games this weekend (loved C ball last year). Question: How do they align a team with a class, ie who gets assigned to A ball, to B ball, C ball etc.? TIA, db
  2. You pitch the hottest hand in the BP at the time. Right now that is Balazovic or Pagan. Keep Balazovic on an accompanied curfew. <winks/>
  3. The ghost of Ron Luciano visits us. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/752538 Good article on Luciano in today's Wash Post if you subscribe to the paper.
  4. Rocco is assuring that Gray will never accept QO/or free agency high bid should Falvey extend it.
  5. For my coffee roasting, welders' gloves smartest $25 I ever spent.
  6. I lost the front edge of my receding hairline this summer when I forgot to "burp" my closed Egg.
  7. * Footnote 1. The opposition was Minnesota Twins. Fixed it for you.
  8. YW. Word of mouth from weekly roasters is better than on a lab review effort.
  9. League gets the book on them and some gents can't make adjustment and revert to AAAA perennials.
  10. Do thorough research on these high end roasters. You are making an investment - make it worthwhile.
  11. Bud has a Traeger as well and does his cold smokes on it. Peppers - he gives me 3 different smoked paprikas every year. To die for. Fish - cold smokes them.
  12. Mine as well. Philly announcers. Love Atteberry w/updates (does superb job) but chatters too much in the booth.
  13. For me, yes. Chicken, up to 16 lb turkey, pork butts. Slow heat is wonderful. Just for grilling? No. My bud has a Kamodo Joe and swears by it (we bust each other's balls). Runs about 85% of the cost of an Egg.
  14. San Marzano's coming on like gang busters. Garlic is superb. Peppers and green beans, blossom drop with July heat. Disappointing. Sunflowers shimmering in breeze and goldfinches have our address - 3.30p daily. Zinnias in veg garden brighten the panorama of colors and invite dancing troupes of butterflies. Mustard and daikon radish in this week as green manure. Oct will be winter rye. Weekly additions of composted horse manure. It's a good year for life.
  15. Go after them with Serranos. That lets you know you are alive.
  16. Rocks my backyard. Retirement gift from kids 10+ yrs ago.
  17. - Sweet corn out of my backyard tastes better than sweet corn from the back of a pickup. Water is boiling before I even pick the ear.
  18. Let's see. A ballplayer has 10 weeks of horrid ball followed by 8 wks of good ball and an apology is in order. Nah.
  19. Not a Bulged (Zulgad auto-corrected) listener, but something is amiss. I saw a couple of times at Target Field this year when Kepler jogged to pick up a ball (one took a bad ricochet and one was down the line). "Sprint" didn't seem to be in his tool box.
  20. I believe Farmer has played it once. Where's his 1B glove?
