I mean MLB's At Bat coverage, both radio broadcast booths from each game. As a Vet, I think I pay $20/yr for it. I would love to read Audacy's contract w/MLB.

As an audio listener only, I dial in about 3-4 games a day. Curious to hear from other radio listeners: Who are your favorite announcers? Why do they appeal to you? Why you are radio rather than video? Faves and Appeal Len Kasper/Darrin Jackson/WSox - Kasper has good pipes, very descriptive and Jackson educates me about ball better than any broadcaster out there. Ben Wagner/Blue Jays - Now that Dan Shulman has moved to video exclusively, Jays pair Wagner with multiple color analysts. Wagner does his homework, knows the opponents and paints good visuals. Very consistent broadcaster of a team which is fun to listen to, Dan Dickerson/Tigers - understated, descriptive, just right amount of stats. Inviting voice. Cory Provus/Twins - vastly improved since coming to 10,000 Lakes. Understands his listener and tries to compensate for a less than stellar partner. Pat Hughes/Cubs - nostalgic voice and approach to the game Ken Korach/As - good understanding of the game, descriptive. Best pipes in MLB. Jeff Brantley/Reds - good baseball education from a Southern drawl. Simplifies for me the pitcher's approach to the game. Growing on me: John Sterling/Suzyn Weldman/Yanks Why radio in such a visual era? I gave up on the cable years ago. We watch only PBS news on local broadcast and then only on Fridays. Love my Netflix. I shiver every time MLB teases me with a new video offering. It is not cost. Non-issue. I am concerned that I will become immersed in the TV and use less time for reading, family, cooking, etc. With radio, I can do something while listening to the radio; gardening, coffee roasting, cooking, etc. Finally,, I grew up in the '50s. Nostalgia. The radio pulls me back in memories of listening to the Buffalo Bisons, Cleveland club, and the Yanks. I went so far to get a Hallicrafter radio so I could pick up the Dodgers when they moved from Brooklyn to LA.

Buxton's knee/wheels are as good as they are going to get. Tragically, phenomenal athletic skills are compromised by a delicate muscular/skeletal frame. Almost as tragic is a FO which ignored injury history and was unable to get a $100MM salary insured.

For me, this stat combined w/Ks, exemplifies fundamental problem w/batting philosophy, instruction, and execution. I really expected an examination by the FO and field manager at break but I think they are more committed to external data sets than internal dynamics/reality. Mules.

I was curious about the system. CBA requires a Certified Athletic Trainer (ACT) to initiate the addition to IL but a doc must sign off as having examined player or discussed w/ACT who also signs it. Copy goes to Players Association office and player. CBA reads: "I, [ATC Name], certify that [Player Name] has an injury [insert injury] that requires placement on the Major League Injured List. The estimated time of recovery for the injury is [insert estimated time for recovery]. Dr. [Physician Name] has evaluated the player, or has dis- cussed the injury and all relevant evaluations with me, and agrees with the diagnosis and the estimated time of recovery. "Good team" based on potential, but not based on performance which counts. While I love Lewis' enthusiasm for the game, it shouldn't take a young ballplayer to light the fire of a $163MM payroll-ed team. Something is amiss in the clubhouse and leadership present.

Would LOVE to hear Francona's input into these moves. WSox have redefined a "bench clearing" episode.

I am in the sell mode. Falvey has traded 17-20 (?) prospects during his reign (IMSM) and it has resulted in a .500 team 27-35 record against other teams above .500. Don't delude yourself into thinking this team is going anywhere. Forget the buys, sell free agents and live with youth. Re-examine minor league development program and hitting philosophy and training program to strengthen them. Find one strong SP during next winter's FA window as well as BP.

While I do not disagree with your premise, I have often wondered what speed pitchers were throwing in years before the radar gun. Is our (FOs as well) fascination with speed shortening the pitchers endurance as well as increasing injury? I know I am veering OT.

Just hope that Levine can get some kind of governor over Falvey when Falvey's impulsiveness kicks in and gives away a ton of prospects once again.
