  1. This is great news from the standpoint we don't go out and sign someone for :{in the event he's not ready} like we did last year .. The Twins have trouble deciding to cut a veteran once they sign him, like you know who, last year.
  2. Should end secjnd half of season at Cedar Rapids at 19 years old. Double A at 20. Maybe start 21 year old season at AA and then move to triple A. Can he debute at 22 if all goes well? That would be amazing
  3. What I like about Chris Williams: Right handed power bat. Batting average is a bit low but carries a 352 OBP. can be a right handed first baseman, right handed DH AND ab emergency cather. 26 years old so now or never ..
  4. Well getting to start every 4 games I sure is a big part of while they will never be beaten. Not only did they pitch every 4 days they through a whole lot more pitches in a game. Makes you wonder if all that work built their arm strength and allowed them to perform at a high level with that kind of workload.
  5. FYI .. The Athletic just listed or 10 most valuable players for 2023 and Correa didn't even make the list and I agree 100%. I also could see Lewis become a better clubhouse leader than Correa. Teammate gravitate to him.
  6. Good reasoning Karbo. Maybe the solution is play Jeffrey's 60% of the time and Vasquez 40% ..
  7. Maybe, Lewis or Lee and 36 million to spend on Pitching?
  8. Why. Because he's good in the clubhouse. Hope that's worth 15 million because a 227 batting average and pretty good defense would have half the league getting 35 million a year.
  9. Correa has been drastically overpaid for his production on the offensive and defensive side of the ball the last 2 years. That is just a fact. Let's hope he miraculously makes a BIG jump next year. I'm not a Correa hater. Just doing the numbers.
  10. I don't think Balazovic is in danger of being pilfered and will pass on through. If Gordon winds up on the list, he will be ..
  11. Maybe MIranda's shoulder was the problem but I think it was his lack of plate discipline. He was hacking at everything the pitcher threw at him ..
  12. Thanks for that! We easily have 7 or 8 spots that can easily be replaced with trades and younger talent .
  13. Can't say that next year with everyone getting play off experience this year.
  14. Great analysis.. only comment is you left Paddack out of the future starters list. Crazy thought. What if they move Buxton to first base and rotate with Krilloff. You then have a lefty and a righty plus Krilloff can play some outfield as well.
  15. But frankly, I've been hearing way too many Twins fans treat that as a casual assumption, forgetting the fact that Buxton has rebounded from injury time and time again in the past, and isn't yet 30. I find it annoying. -------------------- And there lies the problem. time and time again .. So if he bounces back time and time again over the next 6 years what would that say ..
  16. I'm not complaining about the move as our ullpen woukd have had a day of rest after but it's impossible to know what would have happened if we had left Ryan in.
  17. I'd give the nod to Castro over Gordon bit Gordon has too value to just let walk ..
  18. We have a pretty full roster right now especially if we re sign Gray. Biggest questions are: Where to put Lee Does Gray resign Centerfield Who are we going to let go or trade Do we add an quality arm or two to the bull pen.
  19. Did anyone find it kind of strange Jeffers caught every game?
  20. When asked why he pulled Ryan out after 2 innings I thought he was going to say: I learned that frim Toranto's coach.
  21. There is truth to what you are saying but only for top and bottom of the zone. Inside and outside shoukd be the same regardless of height and that's usually how Julien and Kepler get screwed..
  22. Very small sample size. They were the reason we got into the playoffs in the first place, and Lewis won us the first game with Julien still being an on-base machine. Krilloff and Wallner could turn it around in the next two games. I wouldn't give up on them.
  23. With an off day between games, I imagine they will have a quick hook with Ryan and empty the bullpen. I was surprised they wasted Jax on a lost cause .. Losing 9-1 no different than losing 2-1 .. On to the next game ..
