  1. Just the first round. In addition to getting a kid with better upside, Twins add millions to their allotted money
  2. One of the few professional bats on the roster! I have loved his game since the minors. If a positionless gutlike Schwarber can make nearly $20m per in free agency, Luis isn't far off. While ge will never hit 20 HRs, I really don't care. A 5 year deal around $55m should be a good starting point. I know we have a lot of young guys coming up, but we need to keep some of our established players
  3. Trading solid bats for a questionable A pitcher is not how you win! Unless the Twins think they can turn hi. Into a decent SP, this is a horrendous move for next year. Hard to believe they couldn't have shopped him for better assets
  4. Brewers need more bats, not fewer. Don't see them moving Hunter
  5. Big fan of Haniger! If Schwarber and his whiffle bat are worth 4/$79, Mitch is worth more than 3/$39. Twins have the flexibility to offer him a lucrative contract with incentives to bring him to $20 per. When healthy, he is worth every penny of that and fills a much needed hole on the roster.
  6. Milwaukee needs bats and will deal a SP this off season. They have holes all over the diamond! Gio, Martin and Ober for Woodruff. Brewers fill 2 holes on the diamond and get a decent #5 SP. Be aggressive with Toronto to get a C from them. We have Jeffers, who has proved nothing besides that he is injury prone.
  7. Good emergency OF, if the bat improves more he could be a good backup C OF
  8. Let him fix his stuff in ST and 6-7th innings. We have enough depth to cover the backend of games.
  9. Offer Contreras 4/$100 with a 5th year that guarantees based on games played. We have the money and a gaping hole at the position. He can give us 100 games at C and another 30+ at DH
  10. Woof, that is a dry cupboard! Need Jeffers to stay healthy and take some strides to become a true #1 guy behind the plate.
  11. We need more professional bats, not fewer. Miranda can play 3B, but look at this past season of injuries. Between DH, 1B, 3B and rest, we need 4 legit bats. At this point we can not count on Alex, he needs to prove he can stay healthy before penciling him in on a regular basis. If Gio becomes not needed, we can ways deal him down the stretch, he'd be a great addition to a team down the stretch
  12. It has taken a few years, but we finally have some plus SP options heading into next year. Ryan, Mahle, Ober, SWR, Varland(Google wants to change to Verlander), Gray, Paddock, Winder, Maeda, and Sands. Thankfully no Bundy or Archer next year! As for the OP, I am most excited to see what SWR can do next year.
  13. He has been sold at SS this year, but he is a step below Turner and Bogarts IMO. He isn't getting 10 years at his age from anyone! 6-8 years at $30 is more than fair for what he produced
  14. Would like to see the FO attempt to extend him 3-4 years. He is one a good professional bat and you can never have enough. Would 3 yr $30m get it down?
  15. Lee have a shot at being our everyday MLB SS by the middle of next year? If Carlos doesn't resign, I'm fine with Palacios at SS for awhile
  16. The kid has a chance! He has the K numbers needed to be a SP in the bigs
  17. Laweryson has been the best SP in the system the last 5-6 weeks. His AA stats are straight up ace material! Anyone have any info on what his repertoire is?
  18. Aggressive move by the FO, about time! Hiw about bringing up Walner too?
  19. Does Chris Williams have any D to his game? His offensive game has been very impressive this year in both stops
  20. Steer and CES had no positions for a few years. Long run, CES might only be a DH/1B in the big. We have lost some SP talent in the minors today, time to reload in the FA signing period
  21. 2 of the guys given up are lottery tickets and 3+ years away at best. Cano hasn't handled the bigs very well this year, but he has some talent. Well worth the gamble IMO. We could have traded Blaze and Enlow a few years ago for a dang good arm, prospects are ammo until they prove otherwise
  22. Give me smarter base running vs top fielding. We have been atrocious this year and that is squarely on the manager.
  23. Any way to get the link corrected to Jose Rodriguez's bio page?
