Exactly! That would be a step down from even Kreidler

Good to know! He has exceptional talent and the games I saw him, he was dominant. Yanks would have to include another top 20 prospect and hope this is a fluke injury.

Exactly where I am at. We all love Wallner's big bombs, but he has proven to have more holes in that swing than Swiss cheese. Why can't a reliable bat like Bell be our DH next year? I believe the Twins hold an option on his contract. Has Wallner cut down on his Ks or is he just taking advantage of bad AAA pitching?

Baseball Gods to Tom Pohlad: 'Aight, Bet'
HrbieFan replied to Matthew Trueblood's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
💯 It would irresponsible for the Twins to go after any rentals to appease the media jackels and ignorant fans. We are a power hitter, 2 SP and at least 3 RPs away from even winning a series. If I get to play GM, I am looking into Hunter Greene with his team friendly contract and RPs with at least 2 years of control. Could we use the assets we get from Ryan, Jeffers and whoever else we move to target Greene. Does Larnach have much value? I would assume we could get a much better prospect than we got for Bader last year- 128 replies

We know Boras won't allow an extension, unless it is an overpay. So I am not bringing him up with the upcoming lockout. Jenkins needs to add more strength and stay healthy for longer than 20 games at a time.

Culpepper is one that I would dangle to the Angels in a Detmers package

It isn't about the salary for me, it is the assets. I would be fine giving up a combo of Tait, Culpepper and E-Rod. Definitely not Jenkins, Houston, or any minor league pitching.

Cute pipe dream! I believe Buck wants to stay a Twin for life and the Twins will make that happen. Extending Ryan is a disservice to the future of the Twins. The risk/reward just isn't worth it fir a franchise like MN. Ryan is looking at a $40m per contract, we can not afford that. Trade him for 2-3 top 10 prospects and can thus season.

Ryan has pretty much said he will not extend and there might not be a season next year. Keeping Ryan is crazy IMO, even though I would love to keep him. Bell is a guy that I would offer a team friendly extension to. We need more professional hitters like him.

Which Twins Prospects Are Next in Line?
HrbieFan replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
With the proposed changes by the owners and the response by the MLBPA, I would put the chances of games in April at less than 20%.- 36 replies

Anyone familiar with what Preston Johnson brings to the mound? I know the Twins signed him out of indy league after Baltimore gave up on him. He looks like a workhorse on the mound at 6'4" and 250#s. Looks like the Twins are trying to stretch him out

Trading Ryan Jeffers Would Be the Wrong Move for the Twins
HrbieFan replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
QO is said to be $23m plus, if there is a season next year. Lock in the assets in a trade and ride with Caritini and Jackson -
It's Time for the Twins to Promote Alan Roden
HrbieFan replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
We have too many average bats in Minneapolis and St Paul. Fedko is an easy swap out right now for Roden. Jeffers should be called up shortly and they can't move Jackson without risk of losing him on wakvers and we will need him when Jeffers is traded in a few weeks. -

It's Time for the Twins to Turn Kendry Rojas Loose

If you have trouble throwing strikes in St Paul, a promotion to the bigs isn't going to help. -
After seeing these boxscores the last month, we need to invest heavily in pitching in the upcoming draft! Outside of 1-2 arms, there isn't much to get excited about

What Should the Twins Do About Their Bullpen?
HrbieFan replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Ryan needs to be moved with some high end arms coming back. The BP is not a 1 month fix, it will take into next year to find 4 more reliable arms. The only ones I count on for 2027 are Gomes, Raya, Sands, Orze and maybe Funderburk. Maybe Paredes can be a every 2nd day, 2-3 innings guy.- 85 replies

Could Brooks Lee Be Better With Just One Swing?
HrbieFan replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Better thought on Brooks is what he could be if he didnt play any games at Target Field. His splits this year are simply dreadful! Home 170 BA, 270 SLG and a 495 OPS. On the road he is 307/586/952 with 9 of his 13 HRs. Target Field has been known as a good hitters park, so this is really surprising -
I would be satisfied heading into 2027 with Caratini and Jackson as our C tandem. Anyone familiar with Culpepper's repertoire? Hard thrower? What is his out pitch?

What is Kyler Fedko’s Job?
HrbieFan replied to Greggory Masterson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
He made himself a prospect with consistent bat work the last few years. All of us would be super happy if he hit anywhere close to those numbers vs RHP or LHP. Brewers have built a great offense with older prospects and have spun some in trades to bolster their staff. For the Twins to actually compete, they need to be creative in building a complete roster- 42 replies
