  1. Buxton needs to be signed, he is the face of the organization. I respect that the Twins have to protect themselves because of Buxton's injury history, but it sounds like Bux understands that as well. Get creative and if Buxton stays healthy and hits like he did down the stretch, he deserves $30m per year. If he pulls up lame again, cap the damages at $15m.
  2. Doggie isn't as connected as he wants people to believe. The FO might not have went 7 years, but I have a hard time believing they wouldn't go $18m for a solid #2 on a back loaded contract.
  3. Wow, sure thought he would get over $20m per. Good signing for Toronto.
  4. Very hard to get excited about another 6 and fly guy at that price.
  5. When healthy, Big Mike is more than a #3. While he isn't an ace, he can go toe to toe with almost anyone. Highly doubt we sign a top tier free agent, so I'd be fine with Big Mike being our opening day pitcher next year.
  6. Bring back Big Mike on another 2 year deal and spend the coin on Buxton.
  7. Some solid bounce back options, but my vote goes to Garver. He literally almost lost a nut and came back swinging a stiff stick. At the least he will be great trade bait after a healthy year
  8. Where do you play Gordon, Arraez and Polanco? Gordon is proving himself down the stretch and has been adequate at SS. Save the coin at SS and spend it on pitching
  9. I know Duran, Canterino and Wilder are on the IL, but where are they at health wise? Are the Twins hoping rest and rehab will keep them away from the knife? Been a painful year for the top pitching prospects.
  10. Twins have to take some gambles like this. Too early to tell if this one will work out, fingers crossed that it does.
  11. Hope he gets some more games at SS this month. Can he be a stopgap until Lewis is ready??
  12. Odd thing with the international list, no pitchers listed in the top 50(besides a 22 year old). Is that just because young pitchers also play SS?
  13. Will there be a fall league this year? If so, any guesses as to who the Twins will send?
  14. Damn, I need a pop-up blocker to visit this site SMH
  15. Saw Winder a couple of times for the Surge, he was absolutely dominant. Love his build and his business attitude on the mound. Having seen him, Blaze, Duran and Canterino, Winder is by the most advanced and closest to helping out the big club.
  16. Sammons has a great lower body build for a pitcher. The future is bright!
  17. Definitely didn't have the under last night with Jax going. Great last 2 games for him and I hope this trend continues. 6 weeks ago Rocco was using him as a sacrificial arm, now he is looking legit.
  18. Was Sabato over drafted last year or was he projected to be a late first? Not sure how a guy can go from terrorizing college pitchers to a whiff machine. FO looks to have whiffed big on 2 #1 picks
  19. Hope we see Ryan up with the big club after a few games in St Paul. His stuff looked legit in the Olympics. We need him to claim a spot in next year's rotation
  20. Some 'fans' are just miserable people. Wish those people just followed soccer
  21. Alcala is not ready for pressure work. He has a great fastball and slider. He doesn't have pinpoint control, but I'm giving up on him yet. I'm sure the Trevor haters think Alcala should be in high A
  22. Pretty much somes up where I'm at. Don't get the hate for Donaldson. He is now one of 3 bats in the lineup that give the Twins good ABs every time up. Sure Miranda is getting close, but a year ago no one knew of him. Too bad Rogers got hurt, as I'm tired of him blowing games. To be fair to him, he is miscast as a closer and would be better off as 7th or 8th inning guy.
