  1. I purchased tickets to yesterday's game for my daughter and her family (close to $300) for 4 tickets. Main reason was Correa would be playing against Houston. I bought a Correa jersey for my 10 year old grandson when he first signed so thought it would be a fun game to attend. Star Wars night was a plus and the fact that the ownership seems to be investing in the team weighed into my decision. Well it didn't turn out to be a good night first because Correa didn't play, and then the weather (spent a lot of time in the underground shelter). They can't go to today's game so hoping getting replacement tickets to another game will be a possibility. That is a lot of money to pay for a family of 4 to attend less than 1/2 of a baseball game.
  2. It's been 6 games and except for a few the team as a whole is nothing to brag about. Against LA the twins had 6 total hits. If you are going to bench him or trade him send Kepler with him.
  3. I would add the inability to watch on TV has hurt. How do you get to know a team when you can't catch a game on TV. Second is inconsistent line-ups. I would be nice to have mostly the same players play each game. Get over the stats and who bats better against which pitchers.
  4. Finally someone moving Kepler down. Not sure what is wrong but his ST is not off to a good start.
  5. When will our front office(s) learn that the Yankees always trade up and give us garbage! Hicks/JR Murphy sound familiar?
  6. Not sure why we traded away Suzuki in 2014. He has a some decent years. Seems better than what we have had.
  7. The Yankees always know what they are doing. Oh my!
  8. Seems like a great trade. Just don't want to see an article in 2022 about Gray being out for the season
  9. So SS choice: Sign a highly paid player? Go with Royce Lewis/Gordon and see what you have? Outfield: Play Celestino and move Kepler to 4th outfielder to see what he has? This year seems to be the year for all 4 of these players to compete to win the full-time job for 2023.
  10. Just how long do you wait. Just saying give him this year and if he is not MLB ready will he ever be?
  11. Can Celestino play right field? Seems Kepler is the weakness if Buxton stays healthy?
  12. I didn't read the comments yet. What's the deal with Royce Lewis? Was it a total fail as a first round first pick? He was drafted in 2017. If he was that great why isn't he here or coming in 2022. I would bring him up give him 2022 and stop the if's/guessing. I would not spend that much on a 2022 SS. Let Lewis come up and thrive or fail. We are letting Kepler stay could Lewis be worse?
  13. Can't hurt but why are the Twins always signing or waiting for the hope and pray players. Pretty much sick and tired of it.
  14. When I saw the headline, I was curious that you could find 5 good things. I would give them one and that is Buxton. Nelson Cruz twice? Plus the fact he is no longer here? I see we got some prospects for Nelson but not sure they can be graded for a year. Pineda (hasn't played much). Polonco is a good player. But resigning him is a stretch for a great move. I think 5 is a stretch and the only thing to stay positive are how will the players we got for Nelson Cruz pan out?
  15. At least there will be a larger screen for the fewer and fewer fans that show up.. The scoreboard is part of the second phase of a two-part, $29.5 million project, the cost of which is split evenly between the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Ballpark Authority (MBA), the government agency that oversees the publicly owned building.
  16. Sorry the numbers hurt my head. I wasn't clear but can't any of SS's drafted in the first round be ready? Why draft them otherwise. I would give Gordon this whole year and if he can't hack it move to Lewis. If he can't hack it move to the next. If none of them can make it something is seriously wrong with our scouts!
  17. This may be the dumbest question ever but why can't they use their 1st round draft pick(s) from 2014, 2017 or 2019? Seems silly to waste 3 first round draft picks and not have them ready by 2022. From what I can tell if they do not get a couple of great pitchers it really isn't going to matter anyway.
  18. I think Buxton will tough out the year with the Twins unless they trade him and then walk away at the end of the 2022 season. It would be a perfect way for him to say thanks for messing with my service time! Either way the Twins FO is going to come out bad. We do not get nice things, the FO/organization always figures out a way to avoid paying a superstar and then that bites them more when good to great players DO NOT want to come to this organization. I bet you could count on one hand the great players we have had since Target field opened. Many of the players the Twins let walk have had success with their new teams. Maybe not super star success but way more success than any player we have seen. Polanco and Sano our best players. Sano may be a known player because fans love the HR hitters. Polanco probably not as much. He went to an AS game but not sure he played. How many Twins or who was the last Twin with enough name recognition to be elected? Maybe Mauer? I guess my main point is if seem less and less likely every year that we will ever have a well put together team and will always be watching for patch together dumpster diving teams.
  19. Who do we have that can hit like him? I know there are position players and others who could "fill in" as a DH but we need a real one. Maybe Sano but he seems to be fine for now in the field. I would rather have Cruz any day!
  20. Cruz was the best player signed in the last 20 years. If only to have a "all-star" caliber player on the team. Berrios is gone and Buxton most likely gone. No one left to root for that you would at least even have name recognition outside of the minor league fans.
  21. Chance are they will not pan out. Seems they don't and as soon as they do and have earned the right for more money they are cleared out for another set up "top" prospects that do NOT pan out.
