  1. Who cares? I think this has been the highlight of our season. Which Twins players should be discussing? All the ones that mattered to me are gone or on their way out. Except for Buxton, Polanco and Kepler many of our players did not play the majority of the season and I would not know them if I were sitting next to them. If you love baseball this is the kind of story we love.
  2. Any money spent on bringing Cruz back would be worth it. He can hit and is a great presence for the team overall. They can afford him and should not cheap out. Many people like exciting players and don't look at numbers. He is an exciting player as is Sano, Polanco and maybe Donaldson. The new AAA guys should be brought up so we non-stat fans can get to know them and get excited again. I did not mention Buxton. I think it would be a fatal error to ticket sales to trade him this off-season but at next season's trade deadline they will need to trade him. Unless a miracle happens I think the will be gone. They may up what they offered before but they won't go as high as needed and cannot afford to wait until the 2022 off season and let him walk. Oh such a dilema, we waited so long for Berrios and Buxton the big stars and they added Cruz and Donaldson to make it even more exciting but sadly it did not happen and now Berrios is gone.
  3. Seems like we get the players we want/have been waiting for and so many posters love to post the negatives instead of enjoying the great players. Granted this is a small sample of fans but most fans love the presence of a great player and don’t care about numbers. They love seeing the amazing talent and the possibility of Berrios pitching a no-hitter or Buxton speeding around the bases or making a game winning catch. I think the Twins did themselves in with how they treated him with the service time issue. Also money is probably a huge factor but followed closely by by the possibility of contending most years. They are good enough to be wanted and signed by these types of teams. This has to have been the most exciting time of Berrios’ career. The best players want to have at least a shot of going to the WS or far in the playoffs. This most likely isn’t going to happen during Buxton’s best years.
  4. He is the only one left to watch. I do like Sano and Polanco but the team is "eh" without Buxton. Seeing Berrios play in the biggest game of his life and what they did to Buxton delaying his free agency by a year was a huge mistake and pretty sure he won't let the door kick him in the a$$.
  5. I agree with what you say but I feel like many teams would want him. Won't have to give up much but who doesn't a power hitter?
  6. Like who? He is probably the best we have or can get on this team. Why let him go? He certainly has move value than others. Kepler needs to go if Sano needs to go.
  7. What would you do if you were Buxton? If the Twins were to match or go a little above a Boston, NYY, Dodgers....where would you sign? I would take less money to go to a team that puts it out to go all the way every year instead of sticking with a team of consistent 10 year rebuilds that never really happen. I am so excited to see Berrios pitch tomorrow I can feel the playoff excitement. I was not as "attached" to Cruz but it would be fun to see the Rays follow the Buccaneers and Lighting with a WS title. So hoping for Toronto or Tampa Bay to go to the WS.
  8. IMO, they will trade him before they have to pay him more. Very very sad! I like him as a player and when Buxton goes he will be all we have left from our "contending" (LOL) team. We have been or already starting another 10 years of rebuilding so why not let him go to a real contender.
  9. Does anyone else worried that this week will be the last week we see Buxton in a Twins jersey or will it be next years trade deadline?
  10. 1. Medical staff? 2. Waiting too long to bring players up. Seems at least with pitchers they have already or now have injuries? I don't know if it would help without a good medical staff. 3. Berrios leaving is going to have a long term effect.
  11. Austidillo! Give him consistent playing time. Bench Kepler and let Willians play. He has better numbers and gives off good positive energy whenever and where ever he play. 200 less at bats then Kepler and only 10 fewer HRs.

All out Champions would be 1991 and the Twins right?
  13. I found some fun in baseball again during this sad Twins season. Watching the AL East race for the playoffs is so exciting. Of course I am pulling for Toronto and hope either the Blue Jays or Rays go to the WS. Imagine Berrios pitching in the WS or Nelson Cruz up to bat. It is what we were supposed to have this year.
  14. It is nice to see the good competitive games we all love. Just a question.....by all this recent winning are they moving down in draft pick order? It doesn't seem like they could move to far either way.
  15. How about Kepler? He seems to fly under the radar. The guy has a .210 batting average with only 41 RBIs for the whole season. I have heard he has a team friendly contract but a guy with a .210 batting average should be looked at for being replaced
  16. Have there been any discussion about the Twins medical staff and the ability to keep players (mostly pitchers) healthy? So many injuries and the pitchers barely ever make it to the 7th inning so I don't think they could be contributed to overuse?
  17. Worth it? Trades with NYY alway make me nervous. Luis Gil
  18. Why? We want good players. Who would you want instead?
  19. Exactly. I am one of those who longs for a stable line-up. I have completely stopped watching. Hoping for a way to catch Berrios pitching tomorrow for Toronto otherwise absolutely no reason to watch. I can glance at Game Day if I want to or read the box scores tomorrow to keep up a little. IF Buxton comes back this year I could be enticed to watching regularly again. But you all probably know by now I have to watch on my iPad which I absolutely HATE.
  20. Of course they are going to say they want to stay or "act" sad to leave. Buxton won't sign and Berrios made it clear he was going the free agent route. That is where I get my information from. If you were high caliber player wouldn't you want to go to a team that has a chance at the WS more than every 30 years or wins more 1 playoff game in 10? Also from my currently glass half empty view we are always one prospect away and when they finally go get a quality player they let them go for more prospects?
  21. Perhaps I am wrong but I heard players can have teams they can't be or do not want to be traded to in their contracts. The way Berrios and Buxton can't wait to get out of here tells me some of the players mentioned in the article and comments might have the Twins on the "you can't trade me there". First is that true? If it is do you think many of the all-star type players have the Twins on their list?
  22. So a HUGE miss one our 2017 #1 draft pick. That is pathetic!
  23. Happy for Berrios and happy that I have no reasons to watch until or if Buxton gets back. Hate watching on my iPad!
  24. I certainly would not expect a SS when we have one waiting? I guess if the are moveable, but still makes little to no sense when we need pitching.
  25. Why get a SS when we have Royce Lewis in the wings? Or isn't he anymore. Wasn't he first round, first pick WAY BACK IN 2017? Most of the times none of this makes any sense. So we got a pitching prospect and a SS prospect for one of the best pitchers we have had in the last 20 years?
