They don't mention anything about Buxton?

Has anyone heard anything about Buxton? Is going to be ready for 2023?

Again, I wish the Twins would have an everyday DH. But the only every-day players as of today is Kepler and even, he may be "iffy" due to injuries, Correa at SS and Polanco at 2nd. Everyone else does not have a solid position except Buxton and we have no idea if he will be back or how he is doing. Has anyone heard anything? Spring training is only a month away and I have not seen much on injured players ready to return.'

I would love a designated DH. I loved Cruz as that option. To me a DH is a position where you have a good chance of seeing a homerun. Not just putting any player out there.

Seems the Twins are in hope and pray with the starters. Many haven't played an entire season in 3 years. If it changes GREAT but if not, then what? Lopez looks like he may have been in the bullpen but his ERA over his career is 5.45? What quality starter is left and who will come to a non-contending team?

Which starter do you think they could get for Arraez?

I for sure wouldn't call him a bad pitcher. He is at least average with a potential to be great. One bad season compared to his other seasons???

Not wanting to stay on the team is correct. A player like him wants to go to a contending team. As for SWR he played in one game and 5 innings and gave up 2 runs. I have seen many times where a pitcher starts out well but then the batters figure him out and it can go downhill. I hope more than anything his projection are accurate. We have learned the hard way that projected doesn't always work.

My point is we have not seen the players we traded a pretty good pitcher for so far nothing. Yes, he didn't have his best year but was 12-7 and gave the team 172 innings to help saving their bullpen innings! You can say it is looking quite good, but we have no idea. I also believe Berrios will improve. He is hardworking and competitive.

I get your idea, but the Twins are always letting a good and popular players go for "young, controllable pitching" that never seems to happen. We traded Berrios away for two players we have yet to see.

Let Kepler go and get him out there to see what he has. If he has it great if not let him go.

I will never understand. We wait and wait for prospects to be ready only to trade (sometimes give them away on a bad trade) and then we are back to looking for that star player. Once they start to show that they could or will be a top player off they go. Twins always looking for something better? We had Berrios and traded him 2 seasons ago for players we have not seen yet. Makes no sense!!! We get a good player like Arraez and looking to get rid of him for another handful of prospects and the wait starts over. With Correa, they got lucky he didn't stay with San Fran or the Mets or are we lucky? Is he going to be on the IL for a better part of the season? Another fan favorite was Cruz? Yes, he is getting older but the players we hold on to are not much better. His stats may be down, but he was good in the clubhouse and good for the fans. Then we hang on to players like Kepler? I am a fan that wants a good stable team. A team we can get to know and love and Arraez fits. He is a fun player to watch and the AL batting champ?

I would do it. I just don't think he is done. Maybe with Correa, the newer bench coach and medical staff they can bring him around and if he can do what we thought, we need him!

The signing as of right now says this season will be the same as last year unless all injured players return, play AND stay healthy. It's now or never to get Buxton in the field. If he goes down right away, they need to deal with it.

If they are still out there, I highly doubt any would make a difference. It is time to see what we have in our prospects now. ALWAYS a day late and a MILLION dollars short. Same conversations year after year. I also hope they do not sign Correa because just like last year he would only sign with the Twins as his last option available, to me it is the principle. Get Royce here now before his is too old and beat up. It seems to me this is a lost year. Maybe the ALC but that would be it.

Sign him and maybe use as a DH and hitting coach!

Sad but typical for most of the Twins #1 draft picks. I agree with many posts that to be the player we thought we were getting is if he plays in the outfield and not as DH and far less "rest" days as those do not seem to help. Get him out there playing and if he breaks, he breaks and we can be done with this I understand they are trying to protect the investment but a what cost? A half-year all-star? Hopefully this new medical staff can GET and KEEP him healthy for a full season. He should be able to play in 120+ games to be compared to Judge.

I love getting good/great players, but I think it is time to move up most of the 1st round draft picks. Why trade for a SS when 3 of the first-round draft picks are shortstops. and let them sink or swim in 2023. Let's see what we get. I think Tyler Jay is gone or already a bust but not sure. I love reading TD, have gained a lot of knowledge and respect everyone on this board. Just have to ask. Is it only me or have we had these wishful discussions but always end up on the outside looking in? I have been super excited about 3 times over the last 10 years and end up disappointed most of the time. Excited to get Cruz, Correa and a little for Donaldson. Which players were your most exciting?

Numbers and what if’s are one thing. Trading a popular player is another. If they want to build a fan base they need to have a stable fan base as well. I bet most fans don’t know but a few players right now and the American League Batting champion is needed.
