Unwritten rule is one thing... He was barking at Maholm all the way around the bases. He never did touch home plate because McCann got in his face and the fireworks started.

 

The way Gomez was carrying on... A pacifist would have beat him silly.

 

Made me tear hair out sometimes when he was a Twin, but now I kinda miss the li'l crazy man... could just pinch his cheek while he seeks out a target for his homicidal rage.

Sale is 35th in run support with just over three while Max Scherzer is third like over a billion p/game (okay 5.5).

 

Also, I like how Gardy used strategy to speed up that last inning so everyone can get home a little earlier.

Yeah. Baling out on Hardy afterward didn't help the deal either. Whether it was a different approach by the Milwaukee coaching staff or just that Gomez is one of those guys who takes a while longer to get there, he scarcely resembles the hitter he was with the Twins.

But he turned to say something to someone else and the beer hit him in the face and knocked him to the ground and he landed on a rake. The beer also hit the ground... punctured... And went into full spray directly into his face as he lay on the ground.

 

He probably would have been less angry if I (and everyone else wasn't laughing so hard... I mean laughing so hard that you can even get the words... "Oops" or "I'm sorry" out without your voice going up 3 octaves while tears are running down your face).

Yeah, and he wears a uni top that is quite a bit larger in the shoulders. He's a much stronger guy than when he was with the Twins.

 

I remember when I talked to my mom- she was sad to hear we had traded Gomez, and asked if we got anything for him. I described Hardy pretty positively. She thought for a few seconds and then said "Did the Brewers ever watch Gomez?" I laughed pretty hard.
