I was thinking about why political ads seemed so jammed into the sports I watch.  Then I realized that sports are basically the only time I watch commercials, and I'm probably not alone.  Networks and ad people probably realize this as well.

They get particularly annoying when they're for elections in other states.  Like, why am I seeing this?  I did read something that said a bunch of Texas ads were running nationally because it was actually cheaper to buy a national ad than to try to buy them individually in every Texas market.  So I guess that makes sense in a way. 

But I'm still keeping my finger on mute and missing a few batters of audio when I inevitably space out during the commercial break

Live sports are the only real time entertainment we collectively watch. We don’t all tune in at 8 to watch a TV show anymore. It’s all on our own time… So we’re stuck with relentless political ads

Jo Adell is a classic infuriating Guardians move. 1.2 career bWAR in 2000 career PA. 0.8 WAR has come from 48 guardians games. .800 OPS in the playoffs. Because of course.
