I think it's a former Astro and Cubs right fielder who mostly had a really poor season with the Dodgers this year. 

If Jenkins has his career for the next 6-10 years, sign me up.

A crazy homer take I know… That should be an achievable goal for a top 10 prospect in MLB.

I just wanted to say that a CRAZY homer take is saying that Jenkins' #11 will be retired some day. That's crazy.

To say he will with ROY in 2027 is actually a decent bet, if you are betting.

How about this crazy homer take: In ten years, the top two WAR for the organization will have the initials WJ.

In only 10 years? That sounds insane, but the twins top war getters are low compared to some other teams. That will be fun to see where we are at in 2037 :)

Well, quite safe to say that Walter Johnson will never get surpassed for #1.

Yeah, and Jenkins would have to average about 7 WAR per year for a decade to surpass Rod Carew.

Before we get too excited about a dream that he'll become the greatest position player in franchise history or one of the greatest, let's start with hoping Jenkins accumulates more WAR than Royce Lewis, the last sure-fire superstar.

Please note that Kyle Tucker spent the vast majority of his age 22 season in AAA and has yet to exceed 4.9 fWAR in a season, although he's been in the mid-5s in bWAR three times.

For a select comparison, the Big Train exceeded mid-5s in bWAR eleven times, Carew did it five times in his Twins career, Goose Goslin four times, and Kirby thrice. At the same age that Tucker is now, Hrbie had more bWAR.

Sometimes I wonder if fans getting overhyped on the potential of prospects plays into the Pohlads' goals of being able to keep up fan interest without truly putting a winning team on the field.

Jenkins defensively seems like he has the potential to be a solid to really good glove guy. He just needs experience and more mature strength as a hitter. Jenkins is only 21 after all. His swing reminds me of Mauer and he has that smooth consistent motion.
