Falvey made the decision to tender Larnach before the ownership changes were announced.  And he signed Bell right after that.  He wasn't showing signs in the offseason of a rebuild and he has never believed in that.  At the trade deadline, Tom P. made the business decision to keep playing for the playoffs which was a bad decision then and it still is.

Your memory of history is really bad just like when Detroit has called up their rookies.  Larnach was tendered Nov. 21st.   Bell was signed December 15th.   The winter meetings were December 7th through the 11th.   The Pohlads and owners had their meeting in late November.  Yes it was announced later but Tom took over in late November.   The Twins had signaled to teams early in the offseason Ryan was on the trade block and that all changed after the ownership the meeting.  The week before winter meetings Falvey said the direction had changed and the Twins were keeping Ryan and Jeffers.

They just showed the Detroit home run.

The Twins need a Right Fielder who can truly jump and rob batters of home runs. Refsnyder did a fantastic one earlier this year, for Seattle, but the Twins have lacked that for some time now.

Don't get me started,  I said we should go full rebuild and trade Ryan and Jeffers and Larnach in the offseason.  Thats all on Tom.   However if you can't tell this team is actually competitive and trying to win this year even with a losing record I don't know what to say.   How many times have people said this is entertaining baseball.  They aren't perfect they aren't elite,  but they are trying.   So be it,  if this is the team I have to root for it isn't the worst team to root for and they still have something to play for and we are at Sept 9th - basically due to how bad the American League is.   Take it for what it is.

If you look at it though,  this team could go on a run and I don't think anyone would say its impossible.  The lineup right now - is probably the deepest all season,  the starting pitching got a reinforcement with Ryan coming back and the bullpen looks legit right now.   We are still a year away from really competing while we season the rookies.

So you're telling me there's a chance!

Miles Davis would say that if you hit a wrong note, it's the next note that determines if it was good or bad. This whole season has been a double-down on the initial mistake of not going full rebuild, based on a sugar dream of "we just might make it!"

Show the reports that say Tom took over in November.  Falvey did a poor job of building this team because he knew he could keep contending with a middle of the road team in the Central.  You can keep defending him all you want, but he has put this team in a hole and his protege is digging it deeper.

I want to like Zebby I really do. Feel he's the first guy up next year when someone on the starting staff gets hurt.

He deserves to start spring training as one of the first five and if someone beats him out then he can start in St. Paul.

Its not wrong - its just Tom has the short term goals of selling more tickets and trying to increase the sale price of the Twins in the very near future.  He doesn't care about prospects that will be on the team in 5-8 years or trading current good players for prospects or players in 5 years.  He will be gone long by then.  The only way this still works is by luck and threading a much smaller needle.

Zebby 👎💩🤮🗑️

Peter how ya feel about Luke goin 1st pitch  after a WALK and brooks swinging over his head -Twins team is full of non Baseball intelligence,  seems like they only play for STATS !

What the heck was Larnach doing on that play. Starts back, had to run in to make the catch, then lollipops a throw to the mound, and no one is covering third.
Next play, isn’t fast enough to catch the ground rule double pop fly.

Zebby stinks today but all the crying about Ober and Kremer doesn't happen if we get even a couple runs  in the first three innings.

Pat Murphy would be out there pulling him off the field by his ear.

Terrible 🤬😡😤👎this games is out of hand. Sooo want to like this team but it’s been maddening and upsetting from august through now-shouldn’t twins be more concerned about team then fantasy football???

Twins pitching and Bullpen coaches should be fired right after this season.   They are terrible.

This ownership need to be replaced.   FO needs to be overhauled, too.

Major changes are going to happen!!!

Grasping to sneak into the playoffs at 81-81 and doing a poor job of developing the long-term health of your organization seems like an odd way to increase the value of a team, but what do I know, I never inherited a team.

Instead, it seems like maintaining some kind of front at the country club.
