Bobby N:

Joe Ryan threw a 25-30 pitch bullpen session at Rate Field this afternoon. Manager Derek Shelton said there is a good chance Ryan returns to the majors for his next outing (Monday in Detroit?).

That's good news any way you slice it.

Kreidler is in the starting lineup in CF.  It is way past time for the RH batters to start pulverizing lefty starting pitcher - otherwise, why sit Jenkins?

Anthony Kay's 2026 splits suggests he is murder on the typical lefty batter - .518 OPS against, this season.  Fine, maybe.  We're still holding on to a hope of sneaking into the post-season?  I'm skeptical about that, but then I was uber-skeptical on Opening Day and events have proved me wrong to that degree.  But now, into September, there needs to be a benefit from swapping out Jenkins and playing the righty Kreidler.  Kreidler has rewarded his manager with only a .575 OPS against the lefties.

Might as well give Jenkins the experience anyway, if that's all we're buying with this choice.

Really hope the plan is not to platoon Jenkins and this is just to give him a day off.  But if you are going to sit him, you could at least replace him with a major league center fielder.

Jenkins and this is just to give him a day off- lol  --       little patience here pleez     curious ,  for c.f.  Ross ? would of been my choice - we all know what Kreidler cant do  !

Not liking our chances tonight either. Pitchers must be perfect, batters seem lost.

White Sox have youngest batting lineup in AL. Twins have had 5th oldest.

A bunch of them aren't going anywhere. Murakami is around at least next year too.
