I’m trying to be objective regarding a guy that has been saying the above for the last 10+ weeks and has pretty much proven that he can’t perform. We’re fine calling out Kriedler when he OPS’s 600 for two months, but we can’t call out the guy they’ll plunk into the 2 hole? Why? Because it’s Buxton?

I doubt you were making the kind of motions needed to succeed at major league baseball. If all he had to do was straight-line running, then you're probably right that there's no additional risk, but baseball requires motions that put a lot more strain on the hip joint, raising the risk of further harm.

Well Buxton was our best hitter up thru the all star break, so yeah he will get a longer leash.  Kreidler is a AAAA journeyman, so that comparison is apples and oranges.

That's not what is being reported, Buxton said he is going to go until it sparks me up again.  The doctors are not recommending he shut it down.

I haven't read everything, but can you show us where it's been reported that a doctor said he could play?
