Ok, TD family, assuming all of the noted players are healthy and available, I want to know where everyone stands at this point in the season. Do we buy, do we sell? Or do we stay pat? Please vote in this poll. I need your input.

I think we'll know a lot more in 2-3 weeks.....but you almost have to deal Jeffers, unless you somehow can't get a good prospect for him.

Ryan nets you the most, and if they are 2+ games under .500 at the deadline, should be dealt. Otherwise, I can understand them not dealing him (though I probably would).

Bell and Larnach? Tough call, but I think you can deal one or both of them, even if you are in the race. Obviously, if they are well below .500, both should go.

No to Clemens. He's a keeper for the next few years.

It's tough to know how teams are treating next season in terms of the value of controlling a player for that year, especially for players controlled only through next year.

Take Joe Ryan, for instance: normally there would be a lot of value in getting a guy with a full extra year of control.  But if the value of that extra year is diminished to a meaningful degree by next year's uncertainty, does his potential return look more like that of a rental?  It's also looking like a seller's market with all the teams still potentially in some form of contention, so does that mitigate whatever value is lost to some degree?

I have no idea what that answer is, and I think a lot of teams might not either.   I think that could help cause a lot of teams to avoid major moves in favor of rentals and more marginal additions.

This is why I voted for Buxton to receive the biggest potential haul in trade.  I think control beyond 2027 will carry a lot of value relative to control in only 2027.

I also don't think they will or should trade Buxton.  I think it speaks more to a surprisingly underwhelming market for Ryan given the uncertainty

I am pretty much right there with ya on these moves.  I was all for moving Bell just to make room.  Now, I would be more inclined to keep him and let Larnach go.  I don't think Bell brings back a player of any significance where Larnach could yield a pretty decent prospect.  Play Keaschall and Roden with Buck and have an OF of all good defenders.  Clemmons can play out there some as well.

Part of this is that I have been watching Roden in AAA and he has been looking good.  It's really a shame Rodriguez got injured, especially doing something as dumb as sliding headfirst into 1st base.

Is Jenkins in your plans for this year? Or more of a next year solution? Assuming there is a season.

I think they'll hold him down so he can win rookie of the year next year, maybe. Really depends on health of him and Buxton and where they are in the race.

Rays are looking for catxhing help, wonder if they will show interest in Ryan Jeffers.

I think they will. They have nine pitchers or catchers rated 45 or 45+....

I asked because I think Rays have better and more prospects than Yankees and Jeffers would fit the Rays salary structure. I don't think Twins are gonna re-sign Jeffers.

Agreed on all counts.

Jeffers - Not my $$ but if it was I'd offer the QO. He likely doesn't take it and I get the comp draft pick.

Ryan - I'd extend him but if he's not interested, keep him for now and revisit in Dec or next trade deadline.

Buck - Twin for life!

Larnach - trade for Vodnik, Senzatela, Bradgley Rodriguez (throw in a lottery pick if you need it).

Bell - I'm listening but his bat w/RISP is pretty nice.

Trade a few prospects outside the top 15 for a MLB reliever. Haven't really thought this out but a peak Michael Fulmer type dude.

The Twins have won 8 out of the last 9 series and still can’t get to .500. There will be a slide as the ebbs and flows of a season occur. I am enjoying the fight this team has, but still don’t believe they’re a contender.

Joe Ryan would be the best pitcher not named Tarik Skubal on the market. Cash in and get a haul. I highly doubt the Twins are gonna pony up for a 5/$150+ million contract, nor do I think that’s wise paying him through his mid 30s anyway.

Ryan Jeffers is highly likely to be traded. Get a prospect or 2 and if we really want him back, sign him as a free agent.

Wallner has fallen out of favor here. He was named hitter of the month for the International League AAA. Get what you can, which is likely a lottery pick teenager.

Bell is playing out as Falvey hoped when he signed him. He got red hot after a terrible start, and now the Twins could get decent value out of a 1 year contract player.

If the rest of the AL wasn't so terrible there really wouldn't be much question.

I appreciate the way the team is playing, but I also don't see a contender.

Summed up my feelings perfectly. I enjoy watching this team but I think people are getting a little misled by the current mediocrity that is the American League.
