I would send Wallner down at this point just to see if he can regain some semblance of offense - maybe heat up with the weather.

Do what they did with Sano, send him down to A ball.

See there there have to be guys in Wichita who could move up to St Paul.

Never had Kepler's glove ability and never even hit as well as Kepler could, but for years all the blabber was about getting Kepler gone and Wallner in.

Out of all the disappointments the twins have had Wallner really rates up there. Lewis isn’t far behind. I think this is the last game you will see Wallner in a twins uniform.

And only 7 RBIs on the whole season, I'm sure he doesn't see a ton of RISP situations but this is getting ridiculous. He simply doesn't hit runners in.

Also top-10 in worst BA, War, and strikeouts, to name a few.

Never mind hitting runners in - he can't even get on base. Like, I'd take a sac fly, but has anything he hit even made it to the outfield?

I hope you’re right with Wallner-doesn’t matter if he’s Minnesota born-he’s become a major bust as has Royce!!! Both should be hitting 30-35 home runs a year as well 100 RBIs-

Nobody feels worse than he does, I really hope he regains enough confidence to be of some use to us or someone else

Royce is another one that's just swimming in it. Looks totally lost up there.

Maybe it’s time to finally just realize he isn’t going to be the player we hoped. Maybe the twins should hire brooks lees dad - when he was struggling a simple phone call to his dad changed his season around.

In 2023, looked like Julien, Wallner, and Royce would be part of the Twins' core for a decade or so. Whoops.

This year I’m more focused on who will be a part of the core for 2027 and beyond… I really couldn’t care less about team record.

The SP core looks pretty good if Abel, Priellipp, and Taj keep it up. On the position player side, woof. Buxton, and Jeffers (if we extend him) are it. Still too early to say with Keaschall. Wallner and Lewis have played themselves out of core players.

Injuries robbed Lewis - he hasn't looked comfortable at the plate since 2023. Whatever changes he made to his stance and mechanics - obviously not working and I think he's in his own head right now.

Willing to give Lewis more time but cant have Wallner on this team anymore. Fedko should take his spot.

Yep. Really want to see Rodriguez, Jenkins and Culpepper at some point this season. Twins can't keep missing with their prospects.
