Is there really any discernable difference in their defense? Wallner's rep for having a big arm is kind of inflated when you consider the long looping wind up and he's butchered a couple of balls already this season.

If necessary I'm guessing they'll try out some other lefties vs. LHP. Larnach would be a logical choice at some point given his start. Also would be a logical spot for Fedko or Gabe Gonzalez - either would make sense as part of a platoon during their 1st stint in the majors.

In terms of run value and arm strength, there is a considerable difference where Wallner is better. Although Wallner's RV isn't anything special. Larnach's OAA is better than Wallner's, and neither guy makes many errors. So I guess his arm alone is a huge asset to the Twins?

Sim is going to be the only Twins pitcher with any losses in the last 10 games.  I think it's time to try Morris in his spot in the rotation.

His 5th year as a Twin. The previous two years the majority with the Twins. When do they decide he's just not going to be an MLB starter?

Arm strength is only good if throws are accurate and his are not.

Agreed, so the Twins must see something we don't. I would go with another player or whoever is swinging a hotter bat at this point.

I would be curious how many defensive runs saved that they estimate Wallner has due to the arm strength.  Maybe he gets an extra out or two?  My eyeballs tell me that the estimated outs saved is not worth the outs he is creating in the batter's box.

When there is someone who can replace him.  Right now, there is no one who can replace him in St. Paul.

Yup. If Zebby is the answer, might as well stick with SWR and see if he can't bounce back. He pitched effectively at the end of last season.

And as much as 7 runs, 6 earned is bad for the ERA, he still gutted out 5 innings and didn't put undue pressure on the bullpen.  As we are currently seeing with Banda now, more bullpen outs are not the answer.

Last year, he was in the top 15% of Fielder Runs, which tells you the total number of runs a player saved or cost their team through fielding, compared to an average player, but still way less than outs in the box, I'm sure.
