Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 7 K's in 4 innings. You can see the teamwork can't you. Arcia out of the lineup and the rest of the team is picking it up for him.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Great question. Right now, I think it might be Tonkin, but if the bully gets abused again today, they might send someone else down. I would like to see the bullpen cut by one, but no one really jumps out as a demotion candidate. I also think that an injury, any injury, could put someone on the DL so that Tonkin could get a longer look. String... I got another question for you. In the Military... A General outranks a Major... So... Why is a Major illness worse than a General Illness?
GCTF Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Thrown out by Doumit, how embarrasing.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 String... I got another question for you. In the Military... A General outranks a Major... So... Why is a Major illness worse than a General Illness? General Illness > Major Illness > Nishioka's MLB career
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I think we might take a lead in this inning.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I think we might take a lead in this inning. I guess a Florimon walk isn't the worst way to start an inning.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Shoot. I was wrong. I guess a Florimon caught-stealing isn't the best way to end an inning.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I felt like Morneau was going to hit one out right there.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So we need to get to page 3 in this thread, what are the chances Cano resigns?
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So we need to get to page 3 in this thread, what are the chances Cano resigns? He should keep playing. Resigning should be only in case of a scandal or something. / or, if a manager's team has stopped hitting
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 This is a very quick boring game. But at least Deduno is pitching well again. Do the Yankees have a lot of good prospects coming up or will they need to sign FAs again?
James Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I forgot it was a day game! Turned on the game just in time to see Florimonster get caught stealing. I thought we would be losing by more than this already.
James Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So, they pitched through the 6th inning without imploding, huh?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So if by some chance this year's Twins (current roster) get "blown" up by management for a complete overhaul, who stays as the core, who would you probably keep, and who goes if they price is even close to being right? Keepers -- Gibson, Hicks, Arcia, Perkins Maybe keep -- Mauer, Plouffe, Thielbar, Diamond, Fien, Parmalee Available --everybody else I will now crawl into my foxhole and put on my helmet to shield myself from incoming fire.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I thought we would be losing by more than this already. Tied 1-1 is losing? This team really *is* in a funk.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Hey all. What time is the game today?
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Did it sound like the game came back from commercial break and Coomer was in the middle of eating something and continued to do so through the duration of his mid-game recap?
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Mauer is a keeper without a doubt.

You can look around other threads at TD for more serious discussion of this, but just for fun here, I'll add that Perkins and Plouffe are under discussion in a full "blow up" mode because they potentially could gain high-end but not-ready talent in return. Mauer, among your maybes, seems difficult to move for various reasons, unless he gets fed up and demands a trade.
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 It is now tied 2-1 lol. (James)
James Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Tied 1-1 is losing? This team really *is* in a funk.A tie is almost winning for this team. I guess I'm just so used to typing "losing". Muscle memory, I guess.

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Two inning saving opportunity for Perkins?
MichiganTwins Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 At least we are positive, when we are winning!
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Two inning saving opportunity for Perkins? That option is not in Gardy's managing for dummies book.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 They really need Perkins in the 8th. Get through the 8th and see where they stand.
James Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I never thought I'd be impressed with a bunt. Good job, Hicksie.
Ted666 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Nice to see the Twins get jobbed again in Yankmee Stadium
James Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So the Yankees can get people out by trowing ball at base runners now?
