jkcarew Verified Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 It’s that first time through the lineup for Bradley. Gotta figure out how to avoid letting him see the hitters for the first time. I can almost hear Rocco’s wheels grinding. Patzky 1
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Lee is still battling. Good on him.
S Bart Verified Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 You know it is bad when all they can talk about is the number of losses the Sox have to avoid to reach 100.

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Yeah Luke, some of the umpires up here have AAA strike zones too.
S Bart Verified Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Do you think Duran, Correa and the rest miss the Twins after 3 weeks with their new teams? Luke may be the only one. ..

Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Roberts Jr has made two nice catches in centerfield , he's a good defensive player but has hit like crap .. I think he is a free agent if Sox doesn't pick up an option for 20 something million, in free agency do you think any team would pay him 10 to 15 million a season just for his defense ?? RpR 1
jaimedude Verified Member Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Honestly I have never seen a team that get's as many it's and walks as the Twins without driving in runs. It's ridiculous how many hit's this team can produce without generating runs. The line-up construction is ass just about every game. They have no clutch hitters. I'm not buying any more tickets for Twins as long as Rocco and this staff remain. hitterscount 1

I'll take suggestions too I started cheating on the Twins in June. Just once at first. It wasn't planned, it just happened. I felt guilty of course but once I opened that door... well you know. Eventually I felt guilty enough to have the difficult conversation with TC "I don't want to break up but I want to see other teams". It's actually been easier than I thought. It's been quite freeing to spend time with other teams that have something to give and not just take. Actually I grew up (60's) hating the Yankees and I choose the Twins as my team in 1961 because I tuned into a Twins / Indians game and the Twins were behind. It was then I decided I'm for the underdog. Recently I've been a little partial to the Red Sox because they have been in fight at times, but still somewhat of an underddog, and I like Fenway. In June I watched them take 2 of 3 in NY then the following week 3 or 3 against NYY at Fenway. This weekend they've taken 3 so far against the Yankees. It's been fun to watch a team win consistently. It's also fun to see them have bases loaded, no out and actually score multiple times. It's fun to see a team that isn't AA. It's fun to watch a manager that doesn't manage like a machine. It's been fun. I still tune into the Twins to see how bad the pitching is going to be. But I spend more time in the forum than watching the Twins. I just don't want to get to the point where lawyers are involved. Maybe we can still reconcile? ziggy and Recognize 1 1

This is not a staff that is going to develop young players. Rocco would be better off taking over a veteran team or one willing to spend. This ownership so tight with a buck I doubt they would fire him. This team is desperate for a veteran GM and President good at developing something either hitting or pitching. Twins are crappy at both. Not impressed with the drafts or trades Falvey has made. This franchise is in rough shape at MLB and AAA levels. Doc Lenz and Parfigliano 2
