Agree. At least replace Urena with Abel, Gaspar with Cardenas, and Clemens with Sabato, and use Julien in a 1B platoon with Sabato. At least you feel like we're learning something for next year.

There isn't much more to learn about Julien. He's plateaued as a baseball player. Sabato is hitting worse than Jonah Bride and Dashawn Keirsey in AAA. I am ambivalent about Cardenas.

I do think Abel should come up. He doesn't have that much left to learn in AAA. I think Urena will be replaced with Lopez shortly.

That's exactly what they want you to think. What are the odds of so many hitters that had looked so good that turned out so bad over years with most of them slumping at the same time & going through so many hitting coaches? Heaven forbid that they're wrong.

I dunno, I think we are overrating many of the hitters on this team by focusing on the stretches where they looked good and are treating their slumps / long stretches of poor play as if those are the outliers when it might really the reverse. I think that's the case for Miranda and Julien, for many of the others it's still up in the air but I have to wonder if no amount of coaching is going to fix some of these guys. There's no harm in trying out new coaches but after seeing how Popkins appears to be doing a quality job in Toronto, it makes you think.

I'm convinced at this point Baldelli and Falvey just don't know what their doing. If we had a better manager we'd be shifting roster spots with some St. Paul guys who've been killing it. The hopes of a postseason push are OVER. So there's no reason NOT to give big league tryouts now to Fedko, Eeles and other AAA standouts.

Seattle had ALL the same issues, good pitching but very very inconsistent offense. They fired Servaes and hired on Wilson and Martinez. Now with mostly all the same players are 100% better, including Polanco who changed his batters stance and is producing better at the plate. Wallner, Lewis and the boys could use a former all star slugger manager to motivate and change their game. But as long as Baldelli and Borgshulte are around NOTHING will change.

Disgusting.  Pathetic.  Embarrassing.  Uncalled for.

Pick your term, as they all apply equally well here.

Piss poor pitiful  ....

If we had A's lineup we would definitely be playoff bound ...

A's doesn't have the pitching to get there but the bashers are always fun to watch , I can't believe our players can't pick up some pointers on how other players hit ...

A's maybe a last place team in the west but they aren't as bad as the article states ...

The Twins are really good at playing guys that have proven they can't play. If Gasper, Urena, Julien, Clemens, Roden, Hatch, Fitzgerald, Topa, Funderburk, Ramirez, Kriske, and so on, are the future, then start laughing. A lost season should be used to evaluate future talent. Not the crap they are using.

You and I don't disagree.....
