Gasper is the best of the lousy possibilities to play today. Fitzgerald, Pereda and Julien are not exciting choices against the lefty. When the Twins face a lefty the rest of the way, we will see really weak lineups.

Yes, I want to see Buxton back, but if he’s not 100%, there is no reason to rush him. It’s probably play tomorrow or the IL for Larnach. Similar injury to the one Castro suffered earlier this year, where he sat for most of a week before going on the IL.

I get it..you hate Gasper...Vasquez had emergency surgery. They claimed Peraralta off waivers...if not Gasper to replace Jeffers if hurt...I guess put in a brand new AAA player with a similar BA...

I don't hate Gasper, it is more a reflection of Falvey that he is on the roster.  According to the broadcast last night, Rocco said that Gasper is the backup catcher.  So why call up Pereda if that is the case, that is roster mismanagement.  Tonight you have 3 options to play 1B, Clemens is in the outfield, so it is either Julien or Gasper.  Julien has a better chance to be on the team next year, that should be the criteria for playing time for this year.  Gasper can not hit major league pitching.

Pereda is the 3rd catcher according to Rocco last night.  Which I don't understand why he would be here then.

Gasper has 2 games in his major league career at C and since 2018 over ml and minor league has 123 games at C.
