Thats a very nice day for Taj.  It seems like most things seems  to be going pretty well right now.  Batters at the MLB doing well,  the prospects doing well,  the traded for players doing pretty good.  Roden still a question mark but at least a decent day today.

Anyone know what Taj's velocity was today and whether the stuff looked better?

Absolutely love the Keaschall kid! He's bringing me out of my trade deadline depression syndrome. Message to Rocco (as if he's listening)  STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM #15. Don't mess with Luke...just put him out there and let him play! Also...why is Gasper on this team?

Agreed Keaschall looks like he can ball. Gasper none of us get why he is here. Not a good hitter, done nothing at DH, not real good at pinch hithing,  and not great at defense. In my mind I would much rather reward an organizational player, draft pick, someone finally putting it  together than waste a 26th roster spot on a guy not cutting it at MLB level. There really  isn't another roster he would be on. 5 8" guys that do not do anything particularly well are not usually on MLB rosters

Call up Cardenas and have him catch 1/3 of the time, and DH 1/3 of the time.....

Game day shows 95-97 mph heater in first three innings to 94-96 in last two. 80 mph curve in final inning, splitter-cutter around 88 in final inning. 90 at start. 73 pitches 47 for strikes

You dispute that Gasper has been very underwhelming in plate appearances with a career 167 batting average and seems  is limited to contribute at major league level?

The insulting statements have been going on since May.

He being on the team causes not harm, except to posters who act like players still in AAA are their children being "blocked".

There are currently only 6 teams with winning records against >.500 teams, and two of them are only a game above .500.  No one in the NL West is, not even the Dodgers.  It's a really tough threshold to reach

And yet people quote this stat like it has some great meaning......

How is the stat computed?

Is it the opponent's record at the time of the game?

Or do we just look up who currently has winning records, and look up our record against those teams?

I am also curious about the other stat? Who has losing records to beliw 500 teams?
