You never know when the next winning, or losing, streak will start. I don't think anyone thought winning the series in Boston would jumpstart the season the way it did. Similarly, I don't think anyone thought that the blowout loss in Oakland would be the start of a tailspin.

But, this is such a joyless and lifeless team right now and aside from the winning streak, this has been the Twins MO since that late August game in Texas last season.

I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. I see more painful losses and falling further behind in the standings. I guess the only solace is that hitting rock bottom will likely lead to sweeping changes - the same ones that should have happened in 2024.

ever been a intentional walk to start a game ?

Raleigh could earn a few tonight depending on the circumstances. You never know if Bailey's walks are intentional these days anyhow.

The temperature at game time is positively brutal for the early games. 96 at Rate. 100 at Oriole Park. 94 at Busch.

So lucky for us!

Ober is susceptible to giving up the gopher ball.  Another thing to look for is Ober's velocity and to see if he is still below his career average or if they have done something to help his hip from his last start.

Lee seems to be figuring it out...which is important when you consider the number of hitters that have come up the last 2 seasons and regressed.

I also like how he has responded to embarrassing himself on Saturday by not running out the strikeout for the last out of the game.
