I'm oddly questioning if you know ball, but it would never occurred to me if you hadn't brought it up.

Not to jump in here but it’s a pretty universally accepted idea in baseball at all levels that rundowns should be ended as quickly as possible. Limits the amount of possible mistakes by the defense.

That is my point.

The defense was in complete control the entire time.  Number of throws is irrelevant.
