OK, I'm following gameday remotely. Was that a good throw, or a poor decision to send Doumit home (or both)?

 

It was a great throw... That's the only way he got out...

 

Doumit didn't slide and I assume that he didn't know that he had to. He looked over at Morneau after he collided with the catcher... I assume he was thinking where were you...

 

Its the on deck hitters responsibility to head toward the plate to let the runner know if he should slide or not at home.

I think the decision to send him home was OK... It took a fantastic throw... Viciedo had to range to his left to get the ball and he was in deep left.

The outfielder was relatively deep in the outfield when he fielded the ball and made a great throw. I think it was a bad decision to send Doumit anyway because there were no outs and Doumit isn't known for his speed. If there were one or two outs, I would have liked the decision more.

I don't know how accurate the pitchtrak on Gameday is, but each of those first 3 balls to Dunn looked to be in the zone - and all were called balls. No low strikes today?

Errors happen but at least it wasn't because they were playing lazy baseball.
